The Guardian has been mocked for branding apple pie racist after one of its writers said the treat was linked to 'a vast and ongoing genocide of indigenous people. Writing in the famously liberal publication, food writer Raj Patel claimed the all-American dessert was born of colonialism and slavery, after highlighting how apples had first arrived in the west from central Asia 4,000 years ago. The piece, titled 'Food injustice has deep roots: let's start with America's apple pie', claims the pie has 'bloody origins' and is 'as American as stolen land, wealth and labor.' Patel is a British Indian author and documentary maker

This made an article from a few days ago pop into my mind.
Apparently clothing manufacturer 'The North Face' released an ad or a company statement bad-mouthing the Petroleum industry,
Kind of hypocritical, considering that ALL of 'The North Face's products are made of petroleum-derived fabrics, such as Nylon.
I guess the connection is that both ads are just.....STUPID!

This is all too, too funny. Sooner or later the left labels everything as racist or culturally exploitative,or homophobic or sexist. It's what they do. They tell us how bad we are while making money from a system they decry.

This is getting so stupid. I think now they sit around at night dreaming up ridiculous things to be upset about just to see how far they can push us. Sort of like spoiled children who need limits on their behavior but don't get it.

"from central Asia 4,000 years ago" is stated in the article. So the racism is not from the white europeans, it is from Asia. There is not one thing I can think of that these idiots do not call racist. That word lost its meaning years ago. Bring back the mental hospitals!

Let's see here. The Brits colonized this country, took the native Americans land either by force or purchase, brought in slaves to be sold to the locals and now are blaming the descendants of the people who were used by them. The Indians threw out the Muslims who are now living in the "%$#&& hole country Pakistan, while the Indian author of this piece spews hatred toward the people who gave him refuge. Folks, it is time to quit reading left-wing publications and take up the Classics instead. Vote Conservative and avoid paying taxes as much as you can.

I'm of a Native American people who certainly had their land and homes back East stolen, while being rounded up and sent off on foot over a thousand miles to Oklahoma to share a reservation with others Indians of a different tribe and culture. Here is what I demand for me and my people: NOTHING.
America, more specifically the United States, has already provided me and my people all of the opportunities required for a good, prosperous, and happy life. After the Trail of Tears, it didn't take too many generations before my family was accepted as equals in America, and my folks made the most of it. Of course honorable service in the U.S. Armed Forces during times of war helped but this country was worth fighting for beyond just getting a social ticket punched. Between 1942 and 1972, my dad went from being called "chief" in a sort of disparaging racial manner to being called Chief Master Sergeant, out of respect for his earned status at the top of the enlisted ranks. By the way, I like apple pie regardless of its origin and don't need no danged Asian Indian to lecture me on anything having to do with my country.

Any American being lectured to by an Englishman, especially one from a former enslaved colony, just has to have a good laugh and then give heart felt thanks that they were lucky enough to be a citizen of the USA. We don't need moronic semicommunists talking out of their backside about anything going on in the greatest country ever invented by humanity. We have had plenty of faults and made plenty of mistakes, but when we at least try to stick to the values that formed this nation and that punched the British Empire right in the gut, twice, we rise to the best of humanity. Right now we are kind of busy taking on the combined forces of evil in the world, as well as our home grown useful idiot tools, but if Raj ever dares venture over the Atlantic a lot of us would love to have a real serious conversation with him about history and his smart mouth.

Patel should renounce his US citizenship, move out of the UK, and go back to India, involuntarily if need be. How does it benefit Western nations to tolerate Marxist subversives like these?
