This has been a great week for journalism. Yes, I know what you’re thinking as you read that sentence. Humphrys has finally lost it. Too many early mornings on Today and half a century of being on the front line of news reporting and presenting have finally taken their toll. The poor chap obviously hasn’t been paying attention to what’s been going on.In the past 48 hours the nation has been exposed to a litany of revelations that have shocked anyone with even a smidgeon of concern about the future of journalism in this great country. The most sensational interview with the most famous woman of her time turns out

Instead of effectively taxing everyone who has a TV in the UK to keep the BBC alive, they should allow it to sink or swim on its own.

They have created excellent programs in the past. I've noticed, tho, stuff coming out lately is sub-par. I don't watch anything on it anymore.

During George W. Bush's presidency, I would occasionally watch the BBC. All they did was bash him and other Republicans. However, on one occasion they slipped up and accidentally praised Bush. I wonder if the person responsible lost their job?

As a 40+ years listener to the Beeb I can attest to their bias against conservatives in the US government. The 5 minute news at the top of each hour almost always included an anti Trump slant to most every American story. Think msnbc or cnn with a posh accent. One ‘news woman’ reported that Washington DC was waiting to see if the tanks and military would be in the streets the next morning at the behest of DJT. The story she was reporting was a garden variety ho-hum political battle that dims and republicans were having, typical everyday politics in DC but she elevated it for the world listening to think POTUS was off his rocker. A real shame.

The BBC fell from the world’s most reliable and most listened to news source to a liberal cess pit 35 years ago. Really tragic.

the BBC truly reflects the socialist state of England and is deficient in getting down to the level of the average British citizen.

I used to listen to the BBC on shortwave. Then it turned communist at the time of Mrs. Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. Every program became left-wing propanda. I didn't need that. I sold my radio at a yard sale. BBC television "news" is always anti-American with stories slanted to favor socialism, read: communism.

The globalists who are operating the worldwide swamp took over media long before they got control of education.
I try to collect old history books, because their secondary goal after controlling all information going into the minds of mush, is to rewrite history and completely annihilate any loyalty to any country.
All of it has been excellent preparation for their planned one world government. They will have it their way for 7 years, but then the 1000 years that follow will not be to their liking.

BBC mysteries. You can guess the murderer 10 minutes in: the blonde capitalist. Try it. If there are TWO blonde capitalists, it will be the man.

The photography in their nature programs, especially those of Attenborough, is spectacular but they have to ruin them by mentioning climate change in every one of them. Time for ALL state-supported organizations to disappear, eh, NPR?

Substitute "Msm" for BBC in Humphry's article and replace references to Princess Diana to references to President Trump and the fate of the American msm is the same. But, in the case of the American msm, it died long ago.

The BBC is no different than the New York slims... it manufactures story narratives that they agree with... not the true facts so citizens can judge for themselves...the Washington press core is a prime example of practice now with biden in the White House...his son's posterior on tape for the world to see is glossed over in favor of American citizens in solitary confinement because nervous nancy wants a "story" for the twisted press...or Russia/russia/russia for the impeachment story for the New York slims...journalism is dead...

The UK and the BBC consider the US Republican Party to be an extremely ultra right political party and there is no major UK political party that is anywhere politically equal to the US Republicans. In the UK they have a major political party called the Conservative Party that more of less equates to the US liberal Democrat Party, that we can see has been fading away, and is being increasingly replaced by the US leftist and socialist Democrat Party, that is more or less equal to the UK Labor Party, both being Marxist oriented. So you can see why the BBC was so rabidly anti-Trump and is just about always been biased against the US Republicans.
