These people are horrible at reading the room, aren’t they? Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) once again went full Maddow during an interview recently, when discussing the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.During the conversation on Thursday with HuffPost, the senator stated that the riot was an “insurrection against the Constitution.” His comments came as several other Republican lawmakers weighed in on the incident, some downplaying the severity of the riot. Romney said the assault on the Capitol building caused several deaths, injuries, and property damage. “I was there,” he said.

Romney is next up for removal. It would be a good start to get this man removed from the Foreign Relations Committee, and any other committee assignments. It should be demanded of McConnell, who has done nothing about Mulekowski, who has stabbed the Republican Party in the back so many times that it is no longer counted.

As a Christian, one of the things you learn about humanity, is it's nature to sin. Sin is an ugly word that offends us all, makes us want to ignore it and ignore whatever and whoever tries to tell us we are guilty of it. But sin can be much more subtle than it sounds. Sin can come in the form of doing nothing more offensive than acting independent of our Creator, God. For example, sin can be present when we put our objective or agenda before the truth, when the truth is in opposition to our objective. That is what Democrats do every day, while they claim to know and speak the truth, but do something that promotes an agenda that is ungodly and destructive.
But what is the Truth? Does claiming to know the truth, make it true? To the Christian and anyone else familiar with the Bible, Truth is not a thing or philosophy, it is a person, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me." JESUS IS THE TRUTH. So we can conclude that if you don't know Jesus, you really, don't know the truth, and you certainly, can't live the truth without knowing Jesus as your personal Savior. You may know the truth, but you won't put the truth where it belongs in your life, without knowing The Truth, Jesus.
Our world is divided by that fact, those who know and pursue the truth and those who don't know the truth and pursue their own agendas. Truth may be included when it conforms to your agenda, but when it doesn't, the agenda is pursued without the truth, or in spite of the truth.
People like Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney have put their personal vendettas against Trump, before the truth by putting these vendettas and before the needs of the people they should be serving. Neither is willing to discuss Trump policies they oppose, but instead, and because of their hatred for Trump, they defect all questions about Trump, to one false accusation about him, that "Trump Lied." They put their hatred and the emotions that come from that hate, before the truth, above the office they hold and above the purpose God put them on this earth. That is just how easy it is to sin.

No true Republican would give the Huffpost a nano-second of their time.

If we hold an actual insurrection, you'll be one of the first to know, Pierre. There will no doubt in your feeble mind if the real thing ever comes.
This was NOT even remotely any sort of an insurrection, you lying fool.

It is the same situation with Liz Cheney. If indeed Wyoming folks are as serious as they say about getting rid of Liz, they will be working to be certain she is gone. If Utah Republicans mean business, they can get rid of Mitt. It IS all up to them.

If Romney had put 10% of the energy and time he spent to oppose Trump and obstruct what the American voters wanted into his race against Obama, he would have not bee the perennial loser he is always known to be, and the feckless hack who could not win against the incompetent Obama who could not handle Benghazi and destroyed the US healthcare system.
