The Cybersecurity 202: Biden says
the Russian government was not
involved with Colonial Pipeline hack

Original Article

The issue of whether the U.S. government is doing enough to tackle international cybercriminals moved to center stage this week after the high-profile attack on a major East Coast energy supplier. Even though Colonial Pipeline has restarted operations, there are still lingering questions about the group that executed the attack and how to prevent future assaults on critical infrastructure. In a news conference yesterday, Biden emphasized the U.S. government's belief that the cybercriminals behind the pipeline company attack are based in Russia – which has become a safe harbor for such groups – but do not work directly for the Russian government.

Comments:

Suddenly the Democrats don't want to say anything bad about Pooty or the Russian government.

How would they know that either way? They couldn't until they caught and interrogated the perpetrators. They haven't done that and don't seem in any great hurry to do so. This assurance is meaningless.

As how could Biden know at this point who actually perpetrated that cyber attack? Now if the Russian Government were to sweep in and police up all the hackers and transport them to a Gulag in Arctic Siberia for 50 years, both Biden and the Russians would be making a lot better case.

Assigning the blame? Look no further than to those who have hostility to pipelines. Xiden shut down the XL pipeline. And now Michigan governor Whit-Less is demanding shutdown of a pipeline or she will seize their profits.

Biden, not longer after settling into his stolen office, called Vladimir Putin a cold-blooded killer. That's the brand of diplomacy the USA needs, according the TV.

Everything is a lone wolf act, according to the government. That is so they don't have to do anything. If it came from Russia, it was the Democrat's conspiracy partners, and the Russian's trained, supplied the equipment, and pay the salaries of those that did it. Does anyone really think the Russian secret police could not deal with this. They could, but they won't. Putin believes the sanctions has cost the Russians a lot of money, and no doubt feels he is just getting some of his money back. That is, if it was the Russians. The Democrats, notorious liars, that never present any evidence, not beyond false witnesses, have not presented any evidence. With a decrepid cretin in the WH, it is no wonder Colonial decided it was best to pay the ransom.

Ever since Joe Biden floated his $1.9 trillion COVID-relief bill, worrywarts like yours truly have been warning about the possibility of inflation. In case you weren’t alive in the 1970s, inflation erodes the value of money. Simply put, your paycheck is worth less today than it was last week or last month. This demoralizing and frustrating decline in purchasing power can have the psychological effect of causing consumers to spend money quickly, for fear that prices will rise. There is also increased pressure on welfare and wages to keep pace with the rising cost of living. Once this cycle gets

But the one food item you wouldn't see at an official event? Leafy greens. In a new report detailing the Democratic president's first few months settling into the White House, The Times reported Biden put the kibosh on leafy greens at public events for a precautionary and relatable reason: He didn't want to be photographed with leaves in his teeth. Democrats are heading for a major reckoning over the U.S. relationship with Israel, amid a spiraling escalation of violence in recent days that has put pressure on President Joe Biden to get tougher on the Israeli government. The prospect of forced evictions of Palestinians in east Jerusalem and a sustained rocket campaign against Israel this week have laid bare the increasingly thorny political dynamic facing congressional Democrats, more of whom are beginning to question the lockstep bipartisan support for Israel that has existed across Washington. While not abandoning America’s historically strong ties to Israel, Democrats aren’t flinching this week in

The Wyoming Republican said that Fox News had an "obligation" to make sure viewers knew a second term in the White House wasn't stolen from former President Donald Trump in November last year as Baier defended the network. Fox News hosts, including Baier, have previously pushed back on guests trying to cast doubt over the 2020 election result. The network also ran a package debunking

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — On a prairie hill on the rolling highway into Wyoming’s capital city looms a billboard with the beaming face of the state’s lone congressional representative, Liz Cheney. In huge letters it declares: “Thank you Rep. VIRGINIA — The DMV has been hit particularly hard by the ongoing gas shortage concerns, following a cyberattack over the weekend on the Colonial Pipeline. New data released by GasBuddy Thursday morning showed that more than 50% of Virginia's gas stations were out of gas, while the District neared 50% as well. Patrick De Haan, a senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, is tracking outages up and down the East Coast. Virginia has 55% of stations reporting gas shortages, while 47% of D.C. stations and 34% of Maryland stations are out of gas. Those numbers climbed from 44%, 10% and 11%, respectively

An Illinois lawmaker this week introduced a proposal that he said is aimed at stopping discrimination in schools based on a student's hair — citing his own experience growing up. State Sen. Mike Simmons, a Democrat from the northside of Chicago, introduced his legislation on Monday. If passed, it would bar schools from having rules against "hairstyles historically associated with race, ethnicity, or hair texture," specifically referring to "hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists." "No student should be forced to compromise their identity, nor should we continue to allow young people to be traumatized like this in 2021," said Simmons

Colonial Pipeline said Wednesday that it has resumed gas pipeline operations after it was forced to halt after being hit with a cyberattack last week. The shut-off of the pipeline, the primary fuel conduit serving the East Coast, spurred many people on the east coast and in the southeast into panic-buying — with some hoarding gas — and drained supplies at thousands of gas stations.Average gas prices are above $3 and some stations in the Southeast are running out or low on fuel. Across the state of North Carolina, for example, 71% of stations were out of gas as of Wednesday evening

Joe Biden wants to present this image of himself as the congenial moderate who wants to unify everyone. As we’ve seen so far, his first few months have been anything but. It’s apparently not great for the folks working with him behind the scenes either. As we saw during the campaign, Biden lost his temper multiple times with voters and reporters, two groups you would think you’d be trying to court while you’re running, not yell or scream at. Is Kamala Harris in open rebellion against Joe Biden? Sure looks that way. Seven weeks after being named Biden's border czar, she's in some sort of defiance against the job Biden gave her and racking up failures. (snip) Why does it look like rebellion? Start with the fact that he fobbed that job off onto Kamala quite possibly as a sort of payback to President Obama, who during a previous border surge, dumped that job onto him. He knew how hard it was, and how lazy and incompetent she was.
