The United State’s capital is nearly dry of gasoline Friday morning while states such as North Carolina and Virginia are also struggling, according to recent data.
According to GasBuddy data posted at 9:33 a.m. ET, D.C. is experiencing an 88 percent outage, with North Carolina at 67 percent, and Virginia at 50 percent.
The Colonial Pipeline’s recent ransomware attack and ensuing concerns about gas prices have contributed to a fuel shortage on the East Coast, Breitbart News reported Tuesday.
“Colonial Pipeline, a critical source of fuel on the East Coast of the United States, shut down its operations on Friday after the cyberattack, prompting concern

Good, that idiot who stopped the Canadian pipeline shipments might feel the pain.

Then ground ALL flights by members of Congress and the Pentagon and the WH until we all get gas. Tell them to walk to work or they don't get paid.

The idiots think electric cars would avoid this happening. If anything, it would be even worse.

We are all right in my little corner of Kentucky. I saw a Shell truck making a delivery this morning. Somehow, I can dredge up any sympathy for DC.

Right, #8.
They obviously learned nothing from the massive outages in Texas a few months ago, or are ignorant of other disasters when ice storms such as we endured in the Northeast ten years or so ago. There's no way electrical grids sufficient for this modern industrialized economy could ever be built. It's my understanding that even the Germans have given up on the green fraud.
An obvious problem with the "renewables" is that every piece of equipment requires a massive amount of rare chemicals and also toxic ones, including the parts in electric vehicles. So while sun and wind might seem eternal, the means of capture and manufacture are not and they remain very hazardous when the time comes to dispose of the stuff.

Let's see our government muckety-mucks get driven around in electric golf carts instead of their ubiquitous gas-guzzling black Suburbans.

Hmmm Got me to thinking. Maybe we in The Republic of Texas may have some leverage over the DC and NYC greenies. Pipeline can run full speed ahead but if we don't put anything in it maybe New York et al will give us back some of the tax money they've been stealing from us to pay their goofy pensions. Charge up your Teslas folks.

Ban gasoline in DC. Heck, cut them off from food to. DC should bear the brunt of all shortages before anyone else.

if they need more gas in D.C. just have all those blowhard demcommies start talking, that'll give them enough gas to get them to Neptune.

Assume that the Lincoln Continental that drives Quid Pro Joe around has plenty of gas. He needs to get on that bike again. The Blob Nadler could use the exercise.

Nobody in D.C. that works for the government is working. If they are working at all, they're working from home.

We seem to be mostly ok in North Georgia. Some of the low cost convenience stores are running out. My regular full service station was limiting customers to 10 gallons. That topped up my Camry and being retired I only drive about 50 miles a month so I’ll be fine for three months or so.
