The gunman who fired a barrage of rounds into crowded Times Square was trying to kill his brother but wound up wounding three innocent bystanders—including a 4-year-old girl, police sources said Sunday. The suspect, identified by sources as 31-year-old Farrakhan Muhammad, was still on the run Sunday after turning Manhattan’s tourist hub into a shooting gallery, the sources said. Muhammad, who peddles bootleg CDs at the Crossroads of the World, had gotten into an argument before he pulled out a pistol and started shooting wildly, sources said. A tourist visiting Manhattan with his family was stabbed with a screwdriver while riding a train Sunday night, police and sources said. The 43-year-old victim from Ecuador was on the southbound 2 train when he was randomly attacked by a 26-year-old man at about 7:50 p.m., according to cops and sources. A Texas rancher living north of Eagle Pass discovered five unaccompanied migrant children abandoned by smugglers on their farmland Saturday night. The five small girls, ranging in ages from one to six years old, were led across the Rio Grande River and abandoned the evening before. The human smugglers left them with no food, water, or any adults to care for them throughout the night.
