Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania state troopers’ union has demanded an apology from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf for perpetuating the false narrative that law enforcement officers are racist murderers.
Wolf included his anti-police views in a letter he issued to all state employees regarding the Juneteenth state holiday on June 19, WHTM reported. The governor told state workers they would be getting the day off on June 18 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday, which falls on a Saturday this year, WHTM reported.

Immediately after the Washington Examiner reported that San Diego County was soliciting farmers for land for a migrant tent city, red-faced officials called the offer a mistake and told recipients to “please disregard” it. The county officials blamed the state of California and said the term “tent city” was mistakenly used to describe “a soft structure build out” to house a COVID testing center. Local activist Carl DeMaio said he suspects the county backpedaled after realizing that the news coverage would be a public relations nightmare. “Both sides are pointing fingers at each other, saying it was never meant to be a tent city"

If there was any progress that started under Trump, Biden is grinding it to a halt. We’ve seen Biden frequently interrupt or cancel projects from the Trump administration. That includes the direly needed border wall.
He’s also canceled projects that meant thousands of jobs, including the Keystone XL Pipeline. Well, add this to Joe’s “destroy America in four short years” list. Texas needed improvements to a major highway system. They were in the process of doing just that. So, Biden put a stop to it.

The federal government has accused the City of Portland and its police force of failing to abide by the provisions of a 2014 police reforms settlement. The settlement called for reforms to the PPB’s training, oversight, supervision, and use-of-force policies, as well as finding ways to conduct investigations into allegations of police misconduct more quickly and restructuring police crisis intervention services, The Oregonian reported. U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys have demanded the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) produce a specific correction plan regarding how they will report, analyze and investigate use-of-force incidents, according to The Oregonian.

Notorious anti-cop civil rights attorney Lee Merritt announced Saturday that he’s going to run against Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton in the next election. Merritt made the announcement in a video posted to Twitter on March 20. “I am running for Attorney General of Texas,” the video was captioned. “Texas deserves an attorney general that will fight for the constitutional rights of all citizens.” Merritt filmed the video outside with his dog at sunrise and said he was doing so because he had “accidentally made an announcement yesterday that I was running for Texas attorney general.”

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Thursday said that New York Police Department (NYPD) officers should confront people who say mean or offensive things even if their conduct isn’t criminal. De Blasio made the remarks during a press conference on March 18 when the subject of hate crimes and a discrimination against Asian Americans in New York City was brought up, WLNY reported. The mayor encouraged those who felt they were victims of discrimination or hate speech to report it to the police. “We need to know about it immediately,” de Blasio told reporters.

U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-Rhode Island) sent a letter to newly-sworn in U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland asking for his support to investigate the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) background check of U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh before he was confirmed.
Whitehouse told Garland in the letter that he thought the FBI’s investigation into allegations of misconduct by Kavanaugh was “fake” and compromised by partisan politics, CBS News reported. “It cannot and should not be the policy of the FBI to not follow up on serious allegations of misconduct during background check investigations,” Whitehouse wrote.
