Coca-Cola has pressed pause on a controversial “diversity plan” after what Fox News described as an “intense backlash,” and the company’s general counsel, Bradley Gayton, who authored the plan, has now abruptly resigned. As The Daily Wire reported back in February, “Coca-Cola debuted a new policy this year implementing a diversity quota for the outside counsel it retains, saying it will only hire law firms that commit to providing 15 percent of billed time from black attorneys, higher than the percentage of African Americans in the U.S. population.”

Haven’t had a coke since and have no plans to start again or go back to watching Fox News for that matter. Besides Pepsi is just as good (ice cold!), My golly, how stupid these woke corporations are.

When are businesses going to learn to stick to what they intended in the first place? Take this advice from a customer. If you are selling a product, sell a product. If you are providing a service, provide a service. Please do not use my account for social causes or charitable causes. I am not your employee. You are not my CEO or Pastor. I read my Bible to be a better person and give cheerfully on my own. In society, these lines have been blurred for a long time and I am speaking up. It started last year in May or June 2020. Kohl's contacted me through my account information to send me a social message. Yet, the prior year I had called customer service to talk to them about a situation concerning discrimination. The manager hung up on me. Since then, I have cancelled my account with Kohl's and shop there infrequently. The stuff I purchased there recently fell apart. So, I am sticking to my belief about businesses. . .

And why do they need high-paid lawyers? Clearly, there is still a lot of good old American spirit out there. Regardless of what the media tells us, we are not going to be brainwashed by the woke crowd. Some will but they are the kind of people who go through life never watching the news or understanding why it is important to be informed. Those are becoming less and less because the woke monster is in everyone’s face and we don’t like it. Americans expect to be left alone to live our lives, but this group of communist yahoos believe they have the power and right to tell us how to live out lives. It is not going to happen. Thankfully, people are stepping up and taking these woke-mongers head on. It is music to my ears to hear these companies back away from the foolishness they are promoting in order to be in with the in crowd. I don’t believe they understand that the in crowd is a minority in the country. Sure, they are a loud one but in numbers they do not measure up. Remember that. We are the majority. Coke and the rest of the woke companies are killing their brand and its a beautiful thing to behold. Maybe some CEO sitting in a high rise somewhere will take note and refuse to go down the woke road. We can only hope.

I do have an additional comment. My stance on businesses apply to Hollywood and some churches as well. I think messages have become so blurred through the years that Hollywood thinks they should be telling American citizens how to think and what to do. Sorry but your business is about tv and movie entertainment. Leave it at that. As for some churches, the message has become blurred there too. We need more people opening up their Bibles and reading His word. It seems that some church Pastors feel they should be telling us how to think and act. That is a slippery slope especially if they are trying to go woke. No, that is God's job. He REALLY does want to work with us on an individual basis! Thanks to all of the posters commenting about soda. I hardly ever drink coke or pepsi anymore unless there is no choice. I like root beer or white soda. Former Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams said on this week’s broadcast of “CBS Sunday Morning” that she was “absolutely” planning to run for president of the United States in the future.Abrams said, “You earlier said people take voting for granted. When you’ve never had to think about the hardship of voting, then yes, these conversations on voter suppression seem absurd to you. When you have never spent more than seven minutes in line, it is nearly impossible to imagine that there are poor Black people who stand in line for eight hours, miss an entire day’s wages,

By the time the Cola Wars really heated up in the 1980s, Coca-Cola had perennially enjoyed the upper hand over Pepsi in a rivalry that dated to the dawn of the twentieth century. (snip) Coke is destroying the pro-America brand association that it had been building for over a century because “it’s afraid” of the political forces aligning against it. (snip) This time, the degree to which Coke has offended its consumers runs much deeper than our taste buds.

The most relentless slander the Democrats leveled against President Trump was that he was a racist. (snip) Mixed race Kamala would bring her intersectional chops to the Latinx politicians and all would be well. Except nothing went well. Kamala, whom I’ve always been told by people who know her, is as dumb as a box of rocks with the personality of an arch narcissist, managed to leave President Lopez Obrador in a towering rage, furious at American machinations and deeply offended when she simply walked out on him.

A former Olympic weightlifter claims that female athletes are being told to “be quiet” about transgender weightlifter Laurel Hubbard ahead of his Olympic debut. Hubbard is a 43-year-old biological male competing as a woman. Should Hubbard pass the New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) fitness and performance standards, he would become the first trans athlete to compete in the Olympics. Tracey Lambrechs, a former Olympic weightlifter from New Zealand, expressed disappointment at the prospect of Hubbard taking away the opportunity to compete from women.

Fox News’ Chris Wallace tried to hold a struggle session on Sunday with a Republican Congressman who objected to the 2020 election results. The results must have been disappointing. Rep. Jim Banks not only didn’t fall for it, but he threw the premise back in Wallace’s face. The 2020 election came up in the context of Rep. Liz Cheney, who now finds her leadership position increasingly threatened in light of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s endorsement of replacing her with Rep. Elise Stefanik.“I’m just asking a question,” Wallace remarked. “Liz Cheney is saying it’s a big lie to say the election was stolen.

It's already ridiculous that the foundation of this country relies on who the president is when one of nine geriatric Supreme Court justices either dies or retires. It's doubly ridiculous then, that a Supreme Court justice would understand this fickle structure, see its constant abuse by one political side, and yet refuse to retire when the party that most aligns with their judicial philosophy is in power. (Snip) Apparently, history really does repeat itself, as another left-leaning, 80-something year-old Supreme Court justice is refusing to retire at a time when the Democrats have a precarious hold on the Senate, and

The largest gasoline pipeline in the country was shut down on Friday after a sophisticated ransomware attack, which experts are calling the most dramatic cyberattack on U.S. soil to date. In a Saturday statement, Colonial Pipeline said that it 'proactively took certain systems offline to contain the threat, which has temporarily halted all pipeline operations, and affected some of our IT systems.' The hackers are likely a professional cybercriminal group, and a group dubbed 'DarkSide' was among the potential suspects, two U.S. government officials told Reuters.(Snip) DarkSide is known for deploying ransomware and extorting victims—while avoiding targets in post-Soviet states.
