The impartiality of one of the jurors who convicted Derek Chauvin on all charges now is highly questionable, thanks to discovery of a (now deleted) tweet from August last year and his own words in an interview one week ago, April 27. (snip) The juror, whose name is Brandon Mitchell and whose juror number was 52, may have perjured himself during the voir dire examination of his suitability for the jury by claiming little knowledge of the case. (snip) inconsistent with him wearing a BLM shirt reading “Get your knee off our necks”

In other words, this juror lied to get on the jury to convict Chauvin. In a NORMAL world, this could be a mistrial. I hope Chauvin's attorney goes for all the interference, Maxine Waters, BLM, and a tainted juror.

The jury should be hung for what they did.

#1, I believe that lying to get on a jury is a crime. You take an oath to answer questions truthfully during voir dire. Justice as we have known it, is no more. This country has abandoned it when judicial activism became so common place. The reverence for the law is all but forgotten or this could never have happened because the legal scholars in academia would be up in arms. They decided that power for them came from using their positions for political purposes and that is exactly what they have done. We see it from the Municipal Court to the SCOTUS. God help anyone who is a conservative and goes afoul of the law. We have seen very recently that our law enforcement agencies can make that happen very easily if you hold conservative views. The criminal charges like the verdict can be created with little or no regard for the law or Constitution. This is a sure sign that the country is breaking down or may have already been irretrievably broken.

The stench from that kangaroo court - - can be smelled in Tierra del Fuego. If the appellate court has a drop of integrity - - the entire proceeding will be sent to the nearest landfill.

Do we know if this travesty will even get to an appellate court? And if it does, who is to say they won't be as intimidated by the woke mob as the Supremes apparently were? We are in deep kimchi, folks, and soon enough we may well discover that we cannot vote our way out of it..

Reason 968 for a mistrial... Maybe we could get that Nazi Judge, Roland Freisler (Hitler's favorite judge) to try this again... I think it would be just as fair, if not fairer! Our Justice system is akin to Nazism and Stalinism... Happy?

I pointed this out after reading the post on this site about the interview with the foreman! Chauvin deserves some form of punishment for manslaughter, but not what this kangaroo court gave him. The Progressives are way out of control with Antifa and BLM and have to be eradicated. That jury was definitely tainted, but with Democrats in charge, nothing will change the outcome.

What Mitchell did was legal. It was social justice. Chauvin had to be convicted.
Justice means that white people are guilty when black people die. That is justice.
Injustice is when people kill themselves with drugs.
Come on. Those jurors knew what would happen to them if they did not convict.
They would die.

Integrity is missing in this man.
The trial was a farce.
There were 6 blacks on that jury and 6 white cowards.

Can Chauvin be tried twice for the same offense? He has been found guilty, so trying him again would be double jeopardy, wouldn't it? Therefore he should go free rather than be tried twice?

I have come to grips with the reality that we are the nation defined by how we act no longer by our founding documents. I haven't given up mind you just the opposite. Pretending we have not "fundamentally transformed" as a nation stands in the way of re-founding.
This is now two jurors, Mr, lying BLM activist and Ms, I voted to prevent rioting.

this is a perfect example of a trial that should never have been held in that venue. a change of venue was the only way he could have gotten a "fair" trial but the prosecution knew they had a losing case, therefore, no change of venue.. this is judicial criminal behaviour.

Perspective jurors were asked two questions related to attending demonstrations and/or protests. This juror answered 'No' to both questions. He clearly lied.

After a mistrial, if the case goes forward in Minneapolis, there will be no doubt, with the same “woke” officials running the show, that they will end up with a jury that will be a twin of the first biased and frightened jury. If they move the new trial out of that city, to some other Minnesota city or town, the residents of the city or town selected to host the new trial will have two choices, either blockade their city or town from outsiders coming to burn their city or town down using their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves and their property, or run for the hills and watch their property be looted and burned to the ground.

The reason this case keeps getting national attention is that lots of folks feel guilty about convicting a cop that could very likely have been found innocent of all charges had the jury really been fair and impartial. Why were these Minneapolis folks so concerned about future rioting when they have been enjoying the fireworks for a year already? Policemen have died in these riots who were ordered not to shoot back. Most of the country believed that Chauvin could not get a fair trial in Minneapolis. They were right. It's not too late to correct the error.

Justice would be a mistrial and acquittal for Chauvin courtesy of this big mouth, lying poorly educated juror.
