The brother of an Alabama-born grandmother who was fatally punched on a French Quarter street last week is trying to understand what motivated her killing, but he expressed relief Wednesday that police had captured a suspect. “We have no earthly idea why this happened,” said Jeffrey Johnson, brother of Margaret “Jane” Johnson Street. “It won’t bring my sister back, but it helps knowing who did it and that they have him.” New Orleans police say Johnson Street, 61, got into an argument with Jeremiah Mark, 23, in the 100 block of Royal Street on April 18 at about 7:45 p.m. Details

Consider this - a knife wielding man shouting "Allah Hu Akbar" attacks random victims. Hours later the police declare that they are "still looking for the motive"!

All the publicity surrounding attacks by homicidal and violent Black criminals on elderly Asians, the police, and White folks in the leftist Democrat run cities is bound to cause a huge backlash by the silent majority against the leftist and liberal Democrats who have been brushing those racially based attacks off as being caused by White Supremacists, that anyone who has been paying attention knows by now is not true.
In almost all cases it is evident that the encounters involving Black criminals and the police only spin out of control after two factors that those Black criminals initiate, a failure to comply with the lawful instructions from the police, and by violently resisting arrest, many times while those Black criminals are under the influence of either alcohol or illicit narcotics.

The usual violent black thug killing a white person for being white. This isn't a place that I would go, too risky.
The first time I was in NOLA, I very much enjoyed the food on Bourbon Street, and we listened to music in Preservation Hall for quite a while. But the general atmosphere was sleazy and run down, bordering on what seemed dangerous, and this was in the early 80s. My wife and I decided that we had "been there, done that" and decided that we had no need to ever go to the French Quarter or even NOLA again.
About 10 years ago, I had a business trip to NOLA area. I had an extra day and visited a nice WW2 museum, maybe a mile away from Bourbon Street, in midday. Plenty close enough. Never need to go back to Bourbon Street area, especially at night.

Money is no longer being paid if you bet on the right color. It has become too easy. These cowards pick on little old ladies because they are too weak to punch anybody else. Joe's Unity thing doesn't seem to be working.

Hmm. Maybe she was taunting him? Picked a fight with him? Called him the "N" word? Threw the first punch? These things are always a mystery.

NYT headline would have been, "Victim achieves racial justice during peaceful protest against white system racism".

She made the mistake of living in an area where those mostly peaceful people reside. I notice in areas where there aren't any, they dont commit many crimes.

How many white people die at the hands of blacks in this country? We already know the level of black on black crime being as bad as that found in Africa. I suspect the little black child will be mollycoddled by the judicial system and let back out on the street in a few months. No reason to restrict this black punk's life because he killed a white WOMAN.
Bring back that old "Southern justice"... and I guarantee we'll see that crap stop overnight.

I had dinner reservations in New Orleans last Sunday. Not in the Quarter, but on St. Charles and bailed on it just because of the news there. If you want to attract the drunk as a skunk spring break crowd as your tourists use the Bourbon Street remodeling model. It used to have some charm and fun. Now it's just another big city vomitorium.

Probably killed because she would not give him a ten for some smokes. It doesn't take much to get the yutes riled up enough to punch you or worse.

And important extra point....in my last trip to NOLA, I was legally armed at all times. That was comforting, but I still didn't go near Bourbon Street.

Years ago, I used to live near enough to New Orleans that houseguests would ask to be taken to the French Quarter. I'd take them, but insisted on no jewelry, no purses, wallets in front pockets or left at home. I just took a little cash ($20) sometimes a credit card. Anything else was locked in the car trunk BEFORE we left the house. There were always police strolling along Bourbon Street then, and they'd sometimes stop tourists and tell them to take off their gold necklaces and put them away. Necklace snatching was the favorite pastime of the feral "youths" then.

White Supremacy is the greatest threat facing the nation and we need the George Floyd Restorative Justice Act to prevent police from arresting bLACK people. Yet when a bLACK man fueled by racial hatred murders a random WHITE woman on the street, the feds could not care less. Heck, they probably high-fived; one step closer to the future.
