More than 230 cops have either retired or resigned from the Louisville Metro Police Department in the last 16 months as a spokesperson for its union says that staffing shortages have left the agency in ‘dire straits’ while violent crime rises. The Kentucky city’s police department has been in turmoil since the March 2020 police-involved shooting of Breonna Taylor, the 26-year-old black EMT who was fatally shot in her home by officers executing a no-knock search warrant. According to statistics provided by the LMPD on Tuesday, the department has seen about 190 officers leave last year and 43 depart so far this year.

Why would anyone want to be a cop nowadays? It was always true that if you did your job wrong, you would be hated and disciplined, maybe fired and prosecuted. Now the same is true even if you do it right. You couldn't pay me enough.

I’m thinking eventually the National Guard will do the job, creating a Marxist utopia of a police state. How did we get here?

The crazies are winning! There are millions of positive police citizen interactions every day across the country. How many went bad that we have heard about resulting in a citizens death? Activists, media politicians, BLM, Antifa, Democrats. And social media want you think all of them were bad thanks to racist murdering cops. You never hear how many they saved, fights stopped, killings avoided, murders solved, or good the police actually do. The lefts fixation on destroying the police is just an integral part of their reshaping of America. The shape is very broken and jagged right now thanks to the left.

I live in Oldham County, about 15 miles from downtown Louisville. Oldham is considered a 'bedroom county' to Jefferson Louisville Metro. Oldham's also the most consistently conservative county out of KY's 120 counties. The creeps downtown know they're better off keeping their destructive behavior downtown or in West Louisville. If they try any of their foolish crap in my neighborhood they'll get blown away. Country folk don't put up with stuff like BLM or Antifa (think the movie Next of Kin)

The little secret is that once the applicant pool shrinks and the amount of officers needed increase, the qualifications fall. People who should be no where near a badge get hired. This is part of the documented literature.

Remember, Breonna Taylor had drug connections to two boyfriends. She was not the sweet faced EMT you see photos of...like TrayVON Martin and his fifth grade photos. Her Mother has received about $19,000,000 from the city of Louisville through the negotiating power of Benjamin Crump, pimp-lawyer.

Losing one peace officer per week! I think this 'epidemic' is going to spread to every medium/large city. This better get turned around or the Supreme is going to have to REALLY think over the idea of restricting concealed-carry to inside the home.

I thought I knew all the horrible Bernie Sanders stories. But this one is new to me. In 1971, Vermont was debating a tenant's rights bill. One of the testimonials to Vermont's State Senate Judiciary Committee came from one Susan Mott of Burlington, who said the legislation did not go far enough in prohibiting discrimination against single mothers and recipients of welfare benefits. Mott had one child and was on welfare. That one child, introduced earlier in this essay, was Levi Sanders, Bernie Sanders' son.

When U.S. Catholic bishops hold their next national meeting in June, they'll be deciding whether to send a tougher-than-ever message to President Joe Biden and other Catholic politicians: Don´t receive Communion if you persist in public advocacy of abortion rights. At issue is a document that will be prepared for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops by its Committee on Doctrine, with the aim of clarifying the church's stance on an issue that has repeatedly vexed the bishops in recent decades. It's taken on new urgency now, in the eyes of many bishops, because Biden.... is the first to hold that office while espousing clear-cut support for abortion rights.

'The Chief Postal Inspector was wildly unprepared for this briefing,' GOP Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina told DailyMail.com following the meeting with Barksdale.

A cold wind is blowing through the entertainment industry. And it comes with opportunistic purges of the 'older white men' filling its ranks. Whenever I speak to anyone in the industry, cancel culture looms large over the conversation. There's an industry within the industry looking for provocations to set off another purge and demand a change in leadership in order to take it over. That's just how critical race theory works. This story tangentially involves me because the real target was the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Golden Globes. You'll recall Ricky Gervais doing his thing at the 2020 Golden Globes. When a white police officer in Ohio shot and killed Ma’Khia Bryant, stopping her from plunging a butcher knife into the chest of an unarmed black teenager, the racial melodrama that is destroying the very fabric of American society reached what the “woke” refer to as an “inflection point.” At that moment, the narrative of the national lynch mob – verdict first, due process be damned – collided with an impossible reality: a white cop saving the life of a black child. Unable to resolve this dilemma, the woke mob simply refused to see it. It was left to Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors to formulate their denial bluntly...
