Fox News Poll: 77% support requiring photo ID
for voting

There is widespread agreement on requiring identification before being allowed to cast a ballot. A new Fox News poll, released Monday, finds 77 percent of voters nationally think "a valid form of state or federally issued photo identification to prove U.S. citizenship" should be needed for voting. That’s down from a high of 85 percent who felt that way when Fox first asked the same survey question 10 years ago. The 8-point decline comes from a shift among Democrats and independents. In 2011, 75 percent of Democrats and 86 percent of independents favored showing government-issued ID for voting.

Here is the reason there is dimocrat resistance to a Photo ID requirement. In the absence of Photo IDs, city folks can vote multiple times, by doing same day registration under fake names and addresses, moving from precinct to precinct. Then towards the end of Election Day, when the city folks have a god feel for the voting that has taken place, those unidentified voters can line up, overwhelming polling places, then find a judge who will keep the polls open. That hideous McCaskill woman won election and reelection by doing that in St. Louis, I recall reading. winning and holding her seat in Missouri as U.S. Senator. Voter ID would severely limit that kind of fraud. Mary Landrieu did much the same thing in New Orleans, using 'walking around' money to buy votes, it was alleged. Flooding the polling places is a New Orleans tradition.

Logically, if a court strikes down the need for an ID to vote, they must strike down the need for an ID for anything. No ID to purchase alcohol as it is racist and ageist. No ID to get on a plane as it is racist and divides people by class. No ID for cashing checks or financial transactions. Racist Racist Racist! No ID needed during traffic stops. In fact, Drivers Licenses should be illegal too. Why give police a reason to stop or arrest me if I'm driving with an expired license! Racist! In fact, I shouldn't need a birth certificate either! Birth Certificates state a persons sex and race at birth. How can a person know what their actual sex is until they are indoctrinated at public school, liberal professors, and peer pressure! Sexism! And what if I want to identify as a different race? Sure I was born a White Christian Male. But I'm older and wiser now (my teens) and feel like an Asian Muslim Female! Don't impose your cultural norms on me with a birth certificate and a Drivers License which makes me identify as something that I am clearly not (in my mind)! If you follow liberal logic and let people identify as who and whatever they want, an ID will serve no true purpose!

President Biden on Wednesday called out Senate Republicans for stalling progress on gun control, saying lax gun laws have led to “daily bloodshed.” “Look, I don’t want to become confrontational but we need more Senate Republicans to join the overwhelming majority of their Democratic colleagues and close loopholes and require background checks to purchase a gun,” Biden said during his first address before a joint session of Congress. “And we need a ban on assault weapons and high—capacity magazines again.” He also called on Republican lawmakers to work alongside Democrats to reach a compromise on his proposed jobs and infrastructure plan. “Investments in jobs and infrastructure

Louisiana State University’s (LSU) new head coach of women’s basketball, Kim Mulkey, opened up her first press conference Monday by ripping her “damn mask off” because she had “a lot to say.” “I’m going to take this damn mask off because I’ve got a lot to say,” she said as she threw it to the side. Mulkey’s theatrics were described by the local paper: She began her tenure as the face of the LSU Tigers women’s basketball team by fidgeting with her mask and then throwing it to the side. Not because it was bothering her or because the microphone couldn’t pick up what she was saying, but to make a point

Just weeks after introducing an infrastructure package that would require roughly $2 trillion in new government spending, President Biden is set to unveil another massive spending package during his address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday night, this time in the form of a $1.8 trillion “families” bill designed to bolster education, child care, and provide paid family leave. The American Families Plan, which also comes after the passage of a $1.9 trillion COVID-relief bill, includes $400 billion to extend the existing child tax credit, $225 billion in childcare subsidies, $225 billion for a national paid family leave program, $200 billion for universal preschool, and much else. “These are generational investments

BATON ROUGE, La. — Gov. John Bel Edwards on Tuesday partially lifted Louisiana’s statewide mask mandate enacted to combat the coronavirus outbreak, limiting the face covering requirement to schools, hospitals, clinics and other specific locations. The Democratic governor’s decision to roll back the mask mandate he enacted in July is at odds with the recommendations of President Joe Biden’s administration, but puts him more in line with other Southern state leaders who have either ended their statewide face covering requirement or never enacted one at all.

This week has so far been another week of Biden-Harris “mask musical chairs.” Every time the music stops, noted virologist Joe Biden or Kamala Cackles Harris offers up another “new,” generally contradictory, set of “dos and don’ts” rules or guidelines. On Tuesday, Biden — wearing his trusty mask — trotted outside to a waiting gaggle of reporters to instruct us that people who have been vaccinated no longer have to wear masks outside — with the exception of “large groups” (as if attention to the old coot in the first place) — and was promptly asked why he came out in a mask, a completely reasonable question. On Monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in the key First Amendment case Americans for Prosperity v. Rodriguez, which centers on the State of California’s requirement that nonprofit organizations disclose their donor information to the state. Back in 2015, then-Attorney General Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) demanded that two conservative nonprofits, Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), hand over their donor lists. This demand threatened to reveal the identities of donors, potentially subjecting them to threats and harassment. Legal representatives for AFP and TMLC said the Supreme Court justices’ questions and remarks suggested they are likely to strike down California’s requirement as an unconstitutional violation

It seems the provocative platitudes we’ve seen on bumper stickers for a century have now taken root in our yards. And for the same reason: To tell the world that the sign-planter holds wonderful beliefs that he’s willing to impose upon and attribute to the rest of his family. It’s surely not because the sign-planter thinks he’s persuading anyone of the rightness of his position, as if the neighbors reading the sign will say to themselves, “Gee, ‘Democracy dies in darkness’ is a great point. I’d never thought of it that way.”
