The Washington Post's resident fact checker Glenn Kessler dug into the ancestral background of Senator Tim Scott (R-SC), who has been tapped to give the GOP response to President Biden's State of the Union address next week. Scott, who is an outspoken conservative, has written and spoke about his family's background and his ancestors' work in cotton fields and agriculture. For Kessler, Scott's placement as a Republican contender to Biden's message means that his ancestry is open for debate. [Snip] The Washington Post believes itself to be so woke that white fact checker Kessler can undermine a black man's family history for Democrat political gain.

As we reported Wednesday, Alan Dershowitz is working with Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow, as a legal advisor to him and his team in his fight against Dominion Voting Systems. Dominion had sued him for $1.3 billion for defamation. MyPillow is fighting back with a $1.6 billion lawsuit against Dominion, claiming that as “an agent of the government” (working under contract to the government to tabulate elections), Dominion is infringing on Lindell’s First Amendment rights when it tries to shut him up. “This may be one of the most critical First Amendment cases in the history of the United States,” Lindell said Monday.

Unearthed documents from one of the leading Chinese Communist Party propaganda groups reveal the names of “mainstream” U.S. journalists taking junkets from the group in exchange for favorable coverage, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal.
The trips often came just before opinion editorials and news reports excusing Chinese Communist Party crimes, or opposing trade showdowns with the nation.
The China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) was founded by the Vice-Chairman of the “highest-ranking entity overseeing” Chinese Communist Party’s United Front Department, an effort which aims to “co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority” of the Chinese government. “The United Front strategy uses a range of methods

An ICE Enforcement and Removal officer revealed to Breitbart Texas a recent email disseminating instructions to censor reports when listing particular facts involving the incarceration of criminal aliens.
The email tells officers to redact information prior to submission to Immigration Courts or the public as part of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The source, who wished to remain anonymous, believes the instructions are designed to hide the full truth when criminal aliens are released instead of deported and then commit subsequent crimes. Lost amid all of the hubbub of the Derek Chauvin verdict on Tuesday afternoon was Republican Arizona Governor Doug Ducey announcing that he has had enough of waiting for the drooling husk who occupies the Oval Office to take action on the worsening crisis at the Mexican border.
Biden’s only contributions to the situation thus far were first to put Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of it, only to have her promptly disappear. He then decided to alleviate the humanitarian crisis by ordering law enforcement to use more “inclusive language” when referring to illegal aliens.
Ducey said he was issuing a Declaration of Emergency and deploying the Arizona National Guard

Makers of COVID-19 vaccines are now destroying long-term safety studies by unblinding their trials and giving the control groups the active vaccine, claiming it is “unethical” to withhold an effective vaccine
In so doing, they make it virtually impossible to assess any long-term safety and effectiveness, and the true benefit versus cost
It’s ironic, because vaccine mandates are being justified on the premise that the benefit to the community is more important than an individual’s risk of harm. Yet vaccine manufacturers are saying that participants in the control groups are harmed by not getting the vaccine

Dr. Anthony Fauci opined Sunday about the surge of gun violence in the United States and described the spike in shootings as an issue of public health.
Speaking to CNN host Dana Bash on “State of the Union,” Fauci was asked to comment on whether he believes gun violence is a public health emergency.
“Myself, as a public health person, I think you can’t run away from that,” Fauci replied. “When you see people getting killed, I mean, in this last month it’s just been horrifying what’s happened. How can you say that’s not a public health issue?"

The Pentagon is attempting to develop a coronavirus vaccine that would protect recipients from all variants and add implantable microchip technology that can detect the virus in the body. Retired Col. Matt Hepburn, an Army infectious disease physician leading the Pentagon's 's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's pandemic response, introduced the technology and hopes it also will combat future pandemics. During a CBS "60 Minutes" interview on Sunday, Hepburn showed a green tissue-like gel that could be added to future vaccines as the technological aspect for detecting the virus before people become sick. “You put it underneath your skin and what that tells you is

The fact that the loser spawn of Grandpa Badfinger is thumbing his coke-caked nose at the justice system represents not merely the tacky machinations of a crusty pol protecting the family Fredo. It has a deeper and more cynical purpose – to show us that our overlords are unaccountable and that the law is now merely another implement in the regime’s toolkit of oppression. [Snip] can do whatever they want, but that we can’t. In the short term, this is infuriating. In the long term, it could bring down the system our garbage ruling caste inherited.

While I am not an attorney and cannot give formal legal advice, a 1943 U.S. Supreme Court decision, Murdock v. Pennsylvania, may give Second Amendment–supporters an overwhelming legal weapon with which to destroy every single firearm ownership (although not necessarily concealed carry) licensing scheme in the country. This includes those that require licenses to own or purchase firearms. [Snip] What does this have to do with fees to obtain a license to own or purchase a firearm? The USSC also found, "A State may not impose a charge for the enjoyment of a right granted by the Federal Constitution." This means the entire Bill of Rights

Senator Josh Hawley unveiled a new proposal that would strengthen anti-trust laws in dozens of U.S sectors such as tech, media, and banking. “This country and this government shouldn’t be run by a few mega-corporations.” [The Republican Party] has got to become the party of trust-busting once again. You know, that’s a part of our history,” the Missouri Senator told Axios. Hawley’s “Trust-Busting for the Twenty-First Century Act” would ban mergers and acquisitions by firms with a market cap greater than $100 billion, lower the threshold for prosecution under existing laws, replacing the prevalent “consumer harm” standard with one that prioritizes “the protection of competition,”

President Joe Biden is readying an executive order that would require companies to disclose the risks they face from climate change, special climate envoy John Kerry said this week.
Kerry didn’t elaborate on the details of the order or the timing, but the move would fulfill a promise Biden made on the campaign trail to require all public companies to report their emissions and climate-related risks.
Already, the Biden administration has taken a number of actions to bolster capacity at agencies such as the Treasury Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and the Federal Reserve to address the risks climate change poses to the financial system.
