When Katy Fyksen got a heavy period a few days after she received her second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, she didn’t consider there might be a link. The 43-year-old Plainfield woman hadn’t had a period in over a year and a half because of her Mirena IUD, so the sudden red flow was a surprise. But she didn’t think about the timing in relation to when she received her vaccine until she saw a Twitter thread.(Snip) One Twitter user wrote, “I haven’t had a period in years and I’m about 3 weeks out of my second shot and I’m gushing blood

"Women and people who menstruate"; isn't science great? Meanwhile, science usually demands testing of a product before rolling it out to the populace, but this is a special case, a common cold with exceptional PR.

The Chinese are long-term strategists. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the real strategy wasn't to kill with the virus itself but to design it so that the supposed vaccines would result in the sterilization of most of the population.

Stocks slumped on Thursday on a report that President Biden will propose almost doubling the capital gains tax on wealthier people. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell more than 200 points after Bloomberg reported that Mr. Biden wants to raise the rate to 39.6%, from the highest current rate of 20%. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 indexes also fell. Coupled with an existing surtax on investment income, the proposal means that federal tax rates for investors could be as high as 43.4%, Bloomberg said. The tax hike would be on top of Mr. Biden‘s proposed increases in the corporate tax and the hike for taxpayers earning more than $400,000

A researcher has found that cities that had Black Lives Matter protests saw a significant decrease in police homicides, but also a large overall increase in murders. Travis Campbell, an economics PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts, published his findings in a recent pre-print study examining the impact of BLM protests on police use-of-force incidents. His analysis, which is still undergoing peer-review, found that cities with BLM protests had 15 to 20 percent fewer police homicides than expected if the protests had not taken place, equating to 300 fewer police killings nationwide over five years.
