Christianity exhorts its adherents to be charitable, but it is really charitable to affirm people in a belief system that tells them that hatred, contempt, and violence are blessed by the deity? The question is pertinent because recently in Nigeria and France, Catholic bishops have used the money donated by their own Catholic people to build mosques for Muslims. Charity, foolishness, or both? History will be the judge, but we can see right now a great deal of what is coming. Gloria.tv reported Saturday that in France, “Tours Diocese donated money for the construction of a local mosque,” and that “Tours Bishop Vincent Jordy justified his donation..."

The Catholic Church has survived many bad Popes, it will probably survive this one. It's just maddening that lay Catholics can do nothing to stop it.

The modern, liberal Catholic focuses on Jesus’ teachings about love, inclusiveness and forgiveness, but they conveniently forget that along with those attributes comes repentance, reform and an acceptance of Christ Himself as the way to the One True Father. Satan has been extraordinarily shrewd with the Christian message in the 21st century.

Why would the Catholic Church build mosques for the muzzies? They have historically done a great job in turning over their own cathedrals and churches in Spain, Constantinople, and the Holy Lands to muzzies for hundreds of years

#5 - Don't give up. I church shopped and found three churches where I love to go to mass. One is Portuguese, one is Polish, one is a Marian Order. Things in common - they all have devotion to Our Lady and they all have Adoration at least weekly; Polish church on a daily basis, and also you can tell the priest believes in the Real Presence when he says mass. If I ever won the lottery - I would have an Adoration chapel in every church. St. John Bosco said at the end times we will have the Blessed Mother and the Blessed Sacrament to hold us up. Don't give up. You'll find one.

The Democrats and their media veer from condemning the National Guard for not immediately responding on Jan 6 (even though they were the ones who decided that a few hundred unarmed guardsmen should be limited to directing traffic) to condemning them for being there when Black Lives Matter racial supremacists were wrecking Washington D.C. Here, without a trace of shame, they're pivoting from the "not enough force" to the "too much force" narratives. But there's always too much force when Democrats are rioting, but not enough force when Republicans are rioting.

Saturday marked the end of an era in Cuba when 89-year-old Raul Castro announced he'd be resigning as the leader of the country's Communist Party. He and his late brother Fidel Castro reigned for six decades, the latter taking power in 1959 following the Cuban Revolution against then-leader Fulgencio Batista. Without a beat, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, suggested Castro's next gig. Some social media users nodded along with Cruz's suggestion, noting that the move would make sense because CNN is the "Communist News Network." Others gave Castro a network promotion.

Chile’s vaccination campaign against the coronavirus has been one of the world’s quickest and most extensive, but a recent surge in infections has sparked concern beyond its borders. Almost 40% of the South American country’s total population have now received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. ]SNIP] Only Israel and the U.K., respectively, have inoculated a larger share of their population with at least one dose. Nonetheless, Chile has endured a sharp uptick in coronavirus infections in recent weeks, even with its world-renowned vaccine rollout and strict lockdowns in place for much of its 19 million inhabitants.

Just days before a verdict is expected in the high profile Derek Chauvin case, Florida leaders want to make sure any demonstrations in the Sunshine State don't get out of hand. Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday signed the so-called "anti-riot" bill into law, which places tougher penalties on protesters who engage in violent rallies. "We're not gonna let the mob win the day," DeSantis said during a news conference in Polk County, calling the plan the "strongest anti-rioting" legislation in the country. "The state of Florida takes public safety very seriously," he said.

It wasn't hard for Planned Parenthood to shed Margaret Sanger. What did the faded black and white photos of the baby parts organization's founder have to do with it today? If the Democrats can casually jettison Jefferson and Jackson, Planned Parenthood dumping Sanger was even easier. And, as Alexis McGill Johnson, the abortion group's current president writes in a New York Times op-ed, "I’m the Head of Planned Parenthood. We’re Done Making Excuses for Our Founder." The PP boss belatedly concedes that Sanger was a racist who hung out with the Klan, but inevitably reframes it all through the lens of critical race theory.

A longtime nurse at Jackson Memorial Hospital has been charged in Miami federal court with making threats to kill Vice President Kamala Harris, which she recorded in a series of videos she sent to her husband in prison. Federal authorities say the threats from Niviane Petit Phelps, a 39-year-old mother of three who lives in Miami Gardens, were serious enough that she practiced at a gun range and applied for a concealed weapons permit. In the five videos, according to a Secret Service complaint, Phelps expressed rage over the victory of President Joe Biden and Harris. But political anger wasn’t the only motivation, according to the complaint.

Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*
