Dr. Anthony Fauci said Sunday that COVID-19 rules have “nothing to do” with the issue of US civil liberties — after he sparred with Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan on Capitol Hill over whether the restrictions violated Americans’ rights. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease said Jordan was incorrect to claim that public health rules infringed Americans’ freedom.

What is he smoking? We couldn't see a member of our family at an assisted living bldg. for almost a year. No church, no school, no meetings. Maybe he wasn't affected, but we sure felt it and in some places, still feel it. Our gov't should never have this much power.

Proving, therefore, that deFauci doesn't have a clue what constitutes 'civil liberty'. Can't miss what you cannot understand.

Fauci says that public health trumps civil liberties. How convenient for the Left. The Leftist gospel for the past several years lists the following "public health" issues: Climate change. Gun control. Systemic Racism. Wealth disparity. And on and on. Everything the Left wants adopted as national policy can (and has) be characterized as a "public health" issue. So dream on, Fauci. We aren't buying what you're selling.

Effectively Fauci was giving his politicized personal opinion about whether or not the COVID pandemic is a civil liberties issue or not as Fauci is not qualified as a judicial or legal expert on civil liberties. Remember personal opinions are like a—holes everybody has one. So Fauci’s personal option should be taken as such, especially since he has always being talking from a liberal Democrat political stance.

It's just plain stupid to practically insist that we get a Covid Vaccination and then say the vaccination is useless because we still have to wear masks. If you are frightened by all means wear it, wear it to bed, wear it when you have sex, wear it when you relieve yourself, wear it in your freaking coffin after you die, but those of us who want to live without fear want to stop wearing the nasty snot filled rags.

Sen. Tim Kaine claimed that the United States created the institution of slavery. During Tuesday remarks on the Senate floor, the Virginia Democrat addressed the issue of accountability in police departments but later claimed that the U.S. created the institution of slavery. "The first African Americans sent into the English colonies came to Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619. They were slaves. They had been captured against their will. But they landed in colonies that didn't have slavery. There were no laws about slavery in the colonies at that time. The United States didn't inherit slavery from anybody. We created it," Kaine said.

In a 4-3 decision, the Wisconsin Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down the state's stay at home order, handing a defeat to Democratic Gov. Tony Evers in his administration's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the governor's stay-at-home order suspended, Gov. Tony Evers and legislative Republicans will need to work quickly to come up with a replacement plan, otherwise it may be up to individual counties to implement a patchwork of their own COVID-19 regulations. In its order, the Supreme Court said Evers' stay at home order is "invalid, and therefore, unenforceable," so businesses and restaurants presumably may open immediately.
