GOP House member grills Wray on double

Rep. Markwayne Mullin took aim at FBI Director Cristopher Wray during a House Select Committee on Intelligence hearing, questioning what he sees as the FBI’s double standard in prosecuting Capitol rioters and those in Portland.“Under the Biden administration, there appears to be a wave of leniency being granted to individuals arrested for federal crimes in Portland,” Mullin, a Republican from Oklahoma, said during the hearing. “Federal prosecutors are apparently approving deferred resolution agreements in a number of cases and allowing perpetrators to do community service and avoid jail time and criminal records. Why are we seeing such a disparity

No good lawyer asks a question he doesn't know the answer to. Pretty sure Rep Mullin knows the answer to this question. The FBI is no longer a law Enforcement agency neutral in the way they enforce the law. They now work for the democrat party.

The FBI doesn't prosecute offenders but they do selectively enforce the law and testify for the prosecution. Congressman Mullin should be directing his prosecution question to the Justice Department's AG and US Attorneys.

On Friday, Japanese Prime Minister Joshihide Suga became the first world leader to visit the Biden White House. These visits help set the tone for an administration. That being the case, the new administration’s tone is inept and rude. Biden was also absent for the first part of it, leaving an awkward Kamala Harris to trash the U.S. for gun violence before turning to welcome Suga. When Biden took over, things went downhill. (snip) Normally, when a foreign head of state arrives, the President gives him or her a formal greeting. This time, however, the President was nowhere to be found.

President Obama was well known for his diplomatic blunders, stumbles and curt demeanor with many foreign dignitaries including Queen Elizabeth II. Unsurprisingly it appears the JoeBama administration is picking up right where Obama left off. Japanese Prime Minister Joshihide Suga was the first world leader to visit the White House since Biden’s installation, and the poor form began with no-one greeting the head of the Japanese government upon arrival. When you consider the leftist narrative about stopping Asian hate, there is a rather ironic aspect to this visit and snub. Once Prime Minister Suga was inside the White House he was shunned for the greeting by his diplomatic peer,

There was a prolonged ammunition shortage during the Obama administration. I got through that one because a Power Line reader lined me up with a dealer in West Virginia who seemed to have an endless supply of 9 mm. and .22LR rounds. Over the last year, another ammo shortage has struck, caused in part by an influx of new gun buyers who are responding to rising crime rates, attacks on law enforcement, and the election of Joe Biden. As with most shortages, it has been accentuated by hoarding: whenever a shooter saw boxes of a popular caliber on the shelves, he would buy them all. For quite a while
