Pentagon will send 500 new troops to
Germany in reversal of Trump plan

The Pentagon on Tuesday said it will send an additional 500 U.S. troops to Germany in the coming months, marking a stark reversal of former President Trump‘s ill-fated push to move thousands of forces out of the country. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced the shift after meeting with German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbaue, who hailed the plan as a “strong signal” of America’s commitment to its European ally. The 500 troops will join the roughly 35,000 American personnel now in Germany. They are expected to arrive by the fall.(Snip) The U.S. military presence in Europe is a key deterrent against Russia.

Comments:

USA flat-out refuses to defend its own borders, but eagerly defends Europe from Russia, despite our having thoroughly embraced the Marxism the Russians rejected. Maybe that's the point; we need to keep the communist influence in Europe going strong so we can ease into it better ourselves.

We knew this was coming. We can play tough with military in other countries for political reasons. However, we are being invaded by foreign entities every single hour and nothing is done. The border states will either take matters into their own hands or we are lost. The federal government is already lost to us. No matter who is in the White House, its gigantic permanent workforce functions for what is good for its own power and longevity. We do not have enough federally-employed patriots left who will all band together by the thousands and blow the whistle. The Republicans in Senate and House have never looked so feckless. A bunch of lawyers talking and crafting ways to get headlines. We surely cannot depend on them. Its all about getting 2022 won and THEY get to spread out the government money.

A relatively token amount considering that 35,000 are already stuck there. He is like a stray dog, wandering down a street, marking fire hydrants. Trying to make policies here, there and everywhere…. Doesn’t really know what he’s doing... (This intends no disrespect for our wonderful troops who would all be at home if it were up to me.)

If there are 35,000 American troops already there, why are we sending another 500? That's like saying there are 25,000 troops surrounding Washington, DC, but we need 25,500. Why?!!

Most of them held their arms down along their body to make more room in the space that appeared to be no more than 18 inches deep.
