I'm guessing it was awarded over the objections of Romney, Sasse, Murkowski, Toomey, Collins and maybe ever McConnell.

Fine when it doesn't mean anything. But near total opposition when the election was in play. Still, I won't send one penny to the NRSC, or any other Repub organization until I think that Trump and his guys, like Miller, etc. are firmly in charge. That may never happen, and I may never send another cent to the Repubs.

Is he a living, breathing human being? Will there ever be a Durham report?” Trump asked in a statement released on March 26. Durham, who is serving as a special counsel, is conducting a broad but vague investigation

Gov. Andrew Cuomo once compared himself to Sonny Corleone from The Godfather and bragged about his oral sex skills, according to a damning profile published in The New York Times on Tuesday. The New York politician, 63, has fallen from grace amid recent accusations of sexual harassment and a cover-up of COVID nursing home deaths, but the new profile features interviews with insiders who say Cuomo's troubling behavior goes much further back. Sources quoted in the piece allege that the Governor has made transphobic and sexually inappropriate comments - with some alarming remarks made more than 15 years ago.

Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore has called upon Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) to close down the state immediately, further endangering the economic lives of her citizens, despite widespread economic damage from the state’s earlier round of lockdowns.Speaking on an emergency episode of his podcast “Rumble,” Moore said that the rising number of COVID cases in the state has created a “tragedy” that he called upon Whitmer to correct. According to Moore, Whitmer has been crippled by fear from the many violent threats she has received.“I hate to say this, because I voted for her for governor, but she has been scared by people who seek to do violence

His release from his hospital a few years ago was a mistake and a full pardon would be an atrocity. This is a man who nearly killed a sitting president because of his obsession with a movie star. It may have been 40 years but he still should be monitored. Experts can say what they want, but there’s no guarantee this man would not blow again.

President Joe Biden suggested on Monday that the police shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright over the weekend in Minneapolis could potentially have been “intentional” as he urged calm while investigators work to conclude what happened.“I think we got to wait and see what the investigation shows,” Biden said. “And the entire investigation. You all watched, I assume as I did the film, which is fairly, the body cam, which is fairly, fairly graphic. Question is, was it an accident, was it intentional? It remains to be determined by a full blown investigation.”

Poll of the week: A new Reuters/Ipsos poll finds that 55% of Republicans falsely believe Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 presidential election was the result of illegal voting or rigging. Additionally, 60% of Republicans incorrectly agree that the election was stolen from Republican Donald Trump. These polls are the latest to indicate that Republicans mistakenly think that the 2020 election wasn't legitimate, when it clearly was. What's the point: Republicans have been pushing legislation at the state level to make voting at least somewhat more difficult than it was for the 2020 election. This has come in the wake of polls showing many Republicans doubt the election result. It is unclear

For instance, 60% of Republicans think the ARP, the American Rescue Plan, the most comprehensive progressive piece of legislation we passed in decades, is a good thing. George Floyd died in police custody after a corner store clerk reported he had used a fake $20 bill, a nonviolent offense so low-level that police don't usually take people to jail for it. Now, as the trial over his death continues to unfold, criminal justice reform experts and diversity specialists are hoping the case will prompt retailers—from small businesses to major chains—to reassess how they treat Black and other minority customers and how they can handle loss prevention cases more equitably. Retailers, they point out, are on the front lines of racial justice in their own stores. "While interactions with the police
