Stanford University researchers have identified five new cases of a “double mutant” Covid-19 strain that was recently discovered in the San Francisco Bay Area. Doctors suspect it could be more contagious than earlier strains and may be resistant to existing vaccines. The new variant originated in India where it’s credited with a recent 55% surge in cases in the state of Maharashtra, home to Mumbai, after months of declining cases. It contains two key mutations, which scientists call E484Q and L452R, that have been found separately in other variants but not together in a single strain, according to Dr. Benjamin

Comments:

Sounds like a 1950s SciFi/Horror movie. Will Old Joe send us 3-D glasses so we can see the double-mutant?

For goodness sakes. Virus mutates quickly. The mutations are generally less virulent, not more virulent. A virus that kills its host(s) quickly ends up being a short lived epidemic. Now that the narrative is being destroyed by real world data and experience, they are trying to prolong COVID madness. Can’t have the faithful become less fearful.

A year of “slow the spread” has backfired in two significant ways: 1) It’s allowed more time far variants (mutations) to develop, and 2) It’s greatly multiplied opportunities for vulnerable people to contract COVID. Thus, thanks to Fauci and his fellow-geniuses, many people have died needlessly while small businesses have been devastated.

If they are so scared why are they not allowing the common drugs Fluvoxamine & Ivermectin to be given to those sick people? Both have been shown to effective in early stages of covid. Fluvoxamine is especially efficient - keeping 100% of the patients treated with it out of the hospital and with NO 'long haul effects' of covid. Please - if you test positive for covid - get the Fluvoxamine at least - unless you are sensitive to it - check out the data from Steve Kirsch online. Share the data with your doctor. You can take both Ivermectin & Fluvoxamine.

The prospect of a fourth wave of the coronavirus, with new cases climbing sharply in the Upper Midwest, has reignited a debate among vaccine experts over how long to wait between the first and second doses. Extending that period would swiftly increase the number of people with the partial protection of a single shot, but some experts fear it could also give rise to dangerous new variants. In the United States, two-dose vaccines are spaced three to four weeks apart, matching what was tested in clinical trials. But in Britain, health authorities have delayed doses by up to 12 weeks
