Football legend Herschel Walker says large corporations and activists who oppose the new Georgia election law should help minorities obtain photo IDs for voting instead of "complaining" about the issue "time in and time out." Major League Baseball moved its annual All Star game from Georgia in response to the new law, which in part requires a photo ID to obtain an absentee ballot. (Snip) Walker questioned why opponents of the law aren't helping African Americans and others obtain photo IDs.

Comments:

Today common sense is uncommon.

It doesn't take much ambition, energy or initiative to stand there and have somebody take your picture. How did they get EBT cards, SNAP cards, credit cards, phone cards, etc? Read the caption on your Nike box, "Just Do It."

For as much profit as Amazon makes they could easily pay (well) some employees in every state to actively help communities come up with legal ID's for all who want them. Those who don't want them can carry on as they are.

A person needs to show a government issued photo ID to do anything of substance in the USA these days. So essentially what the leftist Democrats who oppose any form of voter ID or voter verification rules are essentially telling the country that there can be no voter ID because Black people are too stupid to figure out how to obtain and present government issued voter ID. Common sense will tell you instead that the Democrats have been benefiting for ever from both election and voter fraud and are OK with the current insecure election processes.

Walker is correct. But the leftists are incorrect and racist when they assume that (legal) blacks/Hispanics are too stupid to get ID's on their own. And yes, OP, "common sense" is now an oxymoron.

Heck, just earlier this week, I had to show my ID to buy some orange liqueur for my husband at the grocery store. I almost didn't understand the gal when she asked for it (what does she mean?). I'm 65, and have silvered hair, I haven't been carded in decades. I guess I should feel flattered (rather than stupid :)

This is such nonsense and insulting to blacks. The only people I know who don't have ID is some of the homeless because they are lost or stolen. Even then volunteers help them replace their ID.
