The federal government has accused the City of Portland and its police force of failing to abide by the provisions of a 2014 police reforms settlement. The settlement called for reforms to the PPB’s training, oversight, supervision, and use-of-force policies, as well as finding ways to conduct investigations into allegations of police misconduct more quickly and restructuring police crisis intervention services, The Oregonian reported. U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys have demanded the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) produce a specific correction plan regarding how they will report, analyze and investigate use-of-force incidents, according to The Oregonian.

Not being LE I should reserve judgement ... but I won’t. They should blue flu for 2 weeks and let the city deal with the outcome. 3000 incident from 40 and they are in trouble for not filing timely reports.... looking for bringing down LE at every opportunity.

This is more Alice in Wonderland Progressive idiocy. Cops here in Portland showed amazing restraint in the Antifa/BLM nightly riots as they had rocks, fire bombs, insults, and urine thrown at them. They had their hands tied by Democrat city officials, and almost all of those thugs they did manage to arrest were on the street again within a few hours with no charges filed against them.

The DOJ is on the side of the criminal now (and has been for quite a while). As far as I am concerned, let the city burn to the ground.

There will soon be more retirements and resignations from the Portland police force and less real policing. No one in their right mind will put up with this.

With the weather getting better, don't be surprised to read about the resumption of the daily RIOTS in downtown Portland. The DA will drop many charges against the RIOTERS, Mayor Ted Wheeler is afraid of his own shadow and the City Council scratches their heads wondering what to do. Yes, it is a "progressive" city. Going from a cesspool to a sh?thole.

One apparent migrant held up a poster that read, "Biden, please let us in!" Prospective U.S. residents and progressive Democrats are hoping the new president will implement more lenient immigration policies than former President Trump, though some politicians like Rep. A cornerstone of Yang’s latest campaign focuses on skyrocketing crime rates that he claims police are simply refusing to combat.

Perhaps stupid is not the right word. Gullible is not right either. It's really hard to pinpoint the main reason behind the disastrous state of our country but the cold hard fact is that many Americans have fallen for two of the biggest hoaxes perpetrated by the left , the media and corrupt politicians. It's too simple to blame the voters of any particular party when the main culprits are the individuals who just can't be bothered with politics. They don't want to get involved so they don't vote yet they complain when their taxes go up or their civil rights are taken away

CEO Ed Bastian offered his assessment of the new Georgia law in a memo sent to employees less than a week after Delta officials joined other corporate lobbyists to shape the final version of a sweeping measure that could make it harder for some Georgia citizens to cast ballots.

Cities such as Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Portland, Ore., and Austin, Texas, have shifted funds from police departments to social services programs. Such cuts have led some departments to lay off officers, cancel recruiting classes or retreat from hiring goals.
