No charges for man who drew gun

A man who drew a gun during Sunday’s dueling statehouse protests in Salem, Oregon, was not arrested after complying with police officers. The incident was captured in dramatic video, as Antifa protesters clashed with demonstrators taking part in a “Freedom Rally.” The white-haired man got out of his American flag-adorned pickup truck to look at the damage allegedly caused by Antifa protesters. That’s when he was attacked with pepper spray, by a mob that was surrounding him, police said.

The video clearly showed the man being pepper sprayed before he drew his gun in self defense. No mention of this in the news reports. Even this story which exonerates him ends by calling him "the gunman", a clear pejorative. I hate the main stream media. None of them can be trusted.

The point of no return in an escalating threat after which it's too late to draw your firearm to save your life comes prior to the events unfolding to the point where no plausible deniability for the perpetrators remains and the lethality of the threat is clear. Thank God that this man didn't have to pay the price for the inevitable conundrum caused by others.

Well, that's a relief. The victims of Antifa's fascist hooliganism ought not to face charges; they weren't the instigators. Antifa is indeed a domestic terror group. Their black clad rioters sometimes wear body armor and carry firearms; they're definitely up to no good, and they are a threat to the public. Whatever places they squat, they ruin.

The McCloskys were charged for brandishing weapons. So was a guy in Kenosha because he pulled a shotgun when his house was surrounded by a mob. The man in this case was not charged, but was his weapon returned? I bet not, pending a long “investigation.” Pull the trigger on attackers, and Soros funded prosecutors will say you did not have cause to use deadly force. The point is you have no Second Amendment rights in cities with rogue prosecutors.

Not only was he pepper sprayed but while he when he got out of his truck and was walking around to where the antifa people were and they broke ( smashed ) the rear side window. After he saw the window and was sprayed he drew his gun. Edited MSM shows him pulling the gun and not the events leading up to it.

Yeah, big whoop. The four Antifa perps will have their charges dropped, and then they will sue this guy for millions of dollars for causing them mental anguish during their "peaceful protest". In the meantime, he and his family will be hounded mercilessly by the Antifa thugs. Any sane person living the Pacific northwest needs to get out as fast as they can drive!!!

After weeks of denying journalists access to an overcrowded migrant facility at the U.S.-Mexico border, reporters were finally allowed in to get their first look.A pool of selected reporters and photographers was allowed into the center in Donna, Texas, where more than 4,000 migrants are held. Some 3,400 are unaccompanied minors. Photos show migrants packed into plexiglass pods, strewn with shiny Mylar blankets. Chicago-area immigration activists are protesting a decision to rename an elementary school after former President Barack Obama because of the Democrat’s record on deporting illegal immigrants, even though the school is currently named after Thomas Jefferson. The Waukegan, Illinois, Board of Education decided several weeks ago to rename two “controversially” named elementary schools, Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Daniel Webster Middle School, over concerns that both historical figures supported the practice of slavery. “Renaming committees were formed for each school and included people in the community, students, and staff,” ABC Chicago reported earlier in 2020.

Did you take the SATs to try to get into college? Your kids may not have to. More than 1,300 schools have become “test optional,” meaning students need not submit SAT scores. Some, like the entire University of California system, now won’t even look at scores. There are seemingly legitimate reasons to oppose the tests. Richer kids often get tutoring that gives them an advantage.Critics claim the tests are culturally biased and say that’s why Blacks and Latinos don’t score as well. But that doesn’t explain why Asians do so well. In fact, Asians get the best SAT scores.I assume it’s more about culture and parenting.
