A new report documents that private foundations spent more than $36 million to pay local election offices in Texas to alter policies and practices in the 2020 election. The money was overwhelmingly spent in solid Democratic strongholds and designed to maximize turnout in these Biden-leaning jurisdictions. The money was concentrated in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and the Rio Grande Valley, according to a new report. The Public Interest Legal Foundation, with which I am associated, reviewed the grant letters and other government documents executed between Texas county election officials and the Center for Technology for Civic Life, a nonprofit that poured over $350 million nationwide into government election offices in order to

A spokeswoman for Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey says the state’s mask mandate will end April 9 despite the president’s request for states to reinstate them.
Ivey spokeswoman Gina Maiola said Monday that we are moving towards personal responsibility and not government mandates.

Forty years is a lifetime ago, but I still can recall this like it was just last week.
Ronald Reagan was a transformational president in so many ways it is hard to recall actually in one sitting or post all that his administration accomplished. The Washington Post has awarded Joe Biden four Pinocchios (the max) for a patently false claim he made about the new Georgia law on voting. Biden said the following during a press conference:

Among the outrageous parts of this new state law, it ends voting hours early so working people can’t cast their vote after their shift is over.
But the Georgia law does no such thing.
On MSNBC’s Morning Joe Tuesday, the cast of left-wing shills bitterly whined that corporations based in Georgia were guilty “of not having done enough to stop” the state’s newly-passed election reform law. The panel of partisan hacks touted threats of boycotts as they expressed outrage that companies like Delta Airlines and Coca-Cola were not taking marching orders from Democratic Party activists.
“We’ve been covering Georgia’s crackdown at the ballot box and now a number of the state’s biggest companies are facing calls for consumer boycotts after Governor Brian Kemp signed the new voting restrictions into law last week,”

A majority of Americans say they view "cancel culture" as a threat to their freedom, according to a new Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey released exclusively to The Hill on Monday.
Sixty-four percent of respondents said that there is "a growing cancel culture" that is a threat to their freedom, while 36 percent said they did not view it as a threat to their freedom.
Additionally, the poll found that 36 percent of Americans said cancel culture is a "big problem," while 32 percent called it a "moderate problem." Another 20 percent said it was a "small problem" and 13 percent said it is "not a problem."
