The suspect in the Colorado supermarket shootings bought a firearm at a local gun store after passing a background check, and he also had a second weapon with him that he didn’t use in the attack that killed 10 people this week, authorities and the gun store owner said Friday. [snip] John Mark Eagleton, owner of Eagles Nest Armory in the Denver suburb of Arvada, said in a statement that his store was cooperating with authorities as they investigate. The suspect passed a background check conducted by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation before purchasing a gun, Eagleton said.

Known to the FBI but passed a background check? Why do we need the FBI? Do they serve a purpose?

Lets look at some statistics that come right off the FBI data. Out of (average) 33000 gun deaths in the US every year, 19000 are suicides. Out of scope of any gun control. Of the remaining 14000 homicides over 90% are committed with guns illegally in possession of the killers. No background, no checks, no registration is going to work here. On top of this all efforts and possible laws are focused on the preventing citizens from owning guns legally. This whole thing is bizarre.

So how DO we keep guns out of the hands of these crazies because he, as with most of these kooks, had a history which should have been sufficient to block his passing a background check.

First of all, the Syrian-born mass-shooter was known to be "extremely antisocial" and "probably mentally ill," as described by his family, who should've informed the gun dealer and/or the FBI, following his rifle and/or handgun purchase. Mass shooter, soon-to-be gun owner, lied on his background form, but KNOWN to the FBI. Plus, he was a Trump-hater, and an ISIS sympathizer, but for the enemedia, he wasn't WHITE, but a Middle-Easterner. Bummer!! Story dropped like a hotcake. Now, they can only go after all the legal, law-abiding gun owners. Real BUMMER!!

The Biden Justice Dept. should send John Durham to investigate why, as the media has reported, the Boulder shooter was apparently on the FBI watch list and was still able to pass a government background check and purchase a firearm? We all know that Durham has been quick on the draw in finishing important investigations in the past, so he should have a result on that question in a few days. Also there are questions on the ATF background application form that relate to mental health, so did he answer that question truthfully?
