Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was confronted today on multiple mainstream media outlets about the complete failure of the JoeBama administration to handle a border crisis they created. The secretary was apparently not prepared for the media to turn on him and stumbled through pathetic justifications on television. In response, President Donald Trump released the following statement: (Image - Statement in pdf)

Comments:

At some point we’ll see clumsy Mayorkas go - either of his own volition as he is almost daily shown to be wrong, or given the boot for the same reason. A beyond pathetic choice for DHS.

Trump had things really under control. But the globalists want lots and lots and LOTS of cheap labor that won't be able to do anything if working conditions are horrible. Complain, and with 25 illegals standing in line for that job, you are GONE. No need to care about workers, no need to pay decent wages, no need to do anything but run roughshod over workers. Having spent a long career where the union in our company was a bunch of corrupt thugs who made sure that the incompetent and lazy fools didn't get treated the way they deserved, and growing to despise unions and workers organizing.....I have really seen that this importation of tens of millions of illegal workers is just a far, far better way to screw American workers. Back 20 years ago, our hourly work force in my company was well paid, well treated, well respected, and the union just caused trouble for everyone by helping the incompetent keep their jobs. The way things are going, we may actually need unions again. Of course, the problem of fundamental union corruption and leftist control of unions will probably make them continue to cause more trouble than good.

There is no evidence at all after 60 days of the new administration, of any disposition to collaborate with moderate Republicans in a centrist response to the many policy challenges the administration faces. President Biden remains the man who said of the hooliganism at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, that it was a “white supremacist” attack bungled by “white supremacist” Capitol police and directly incited by the outgoing president in an effort to overturn an election result which the Democrats,(Snip) represent as an unquestionably fair electoral outcome. As Americans start to receive the latest round of stimulus checks, a new analysis reveals that about $4.38 billion will also go to illegal immigrants. The Center for Immigration Studies estimates that 2.65 million illegal immigrants have Social Security numbers that allow them to receive stimulus checks. This group of illegal immigrants can be described as “aliens temporarily present without status,” according to Steven Camarota, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies. “These individuals are in the country illegally and could be required to leave. Yet, under the current system, they are still given work authorization and Social Security numbers,” he said.

On Friday, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem balked on signing House Bill 1217 when the bill to promote fairness in women’s sports crossed her desk. But instead of vetoing the legislation, Noem returned the bill to the House with what she called “recommendations as to STYLE and FORM.” The Republican governor’s spin, however, cannot withstand scrutiny—most specifically her claimed reasoning for removing collegiate athletics from the bill’s protections. As finalized by the South Dakota legislature, Section 1 of H.B. 1217 provided that athletic teams and sports in the state, including at institutions of higher education, must be expressly designated as male, female, or coeducation.

WASHINGTON — President Biden’s economic advisers are preparing to recommend spending as much as $3 trillion on a sweeping set of efforts aimed at boosting the economy, reducing carbon emissions and narrowing economic inequality, beginning with a giant infrastructure plan that may be financed in part through tax increases on corporations and the rich. After months of internal debate, Mr. Biden’s advisers are expected to present a proposal to the president this week that recommends carving his economic agenda into separate legislative pieces, rather than trying to push a mammoth package through Congress, according to people familiar with the plans and documents obtained by The New York Times.

From several meetings and events I have been to lately, including CPAC, as well as reports from others across the country that I have heard, a revolution is brewing in the Republican Party. Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska, recorded a temperature as low as -18 degrees Celsius (nearly zero degrees Fahrenheit) in the early morning. A two-day high-level talk between the United States and China has just ended in this frigid place. The high pitch of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) “wolf warriors” howl and the weak U.S. response, in contrast, are really worrying. In short, the U.S. side fell into four traps set ingeniously by the CCP during the talks. First, the holding of high-level talks between the United States and China is itself a CCP trap.

To say the first major diplomatic summit between the United States and China was an unmitigated mess would be an understatement. Apparently U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken thought it would be of value for the domestic audience if he was to lambast the Beijing delegation in public and on camera.
