If she were a black woman at the back of the bus, or at a southern lunch counter, she'd be a hero.

Had she been vaccinated? If so, no issue here.

Read the side of the box the masks come in... They do not help against any virus... It isn't about health, it's about control... If the police want me to continue to support them I suggest they stop enforcing useless mandates and go after actual criminals... It's for the safety of others doncha know.

As the article said, if the business establishment insisted she wear a mask and she refused, she should have left; if she didn't, the owner should have called the police. It's wrong for the government to mandate masks, but if a business owner wants you to wear one, wear one.

Yet the border is wide open with Covid coming across every second. Why are we supposed to take this seriously. Just stop with this silly mask stuff. If it helped, we wouldn't have covid around anymore. The gov't doesn't believe it's serious because, again, the borders are wide open.

When you're on private property - - you have to respect the wishes of the property owner. When you're on your own property - - or in a public place - - then you can do whatever you choose - - as long as you don't violate someone else's rights..
This lady should have respected the property rights of the bank. But there was no reason for her to be treated like a big-time gangster - - like Paul Manafort or Roger Stone.

As I see it, after she refused to wear a mask in the bank, she got violent after being asked to leave.

Arrested for NOT wearing a mask in a BANK
. Isn't it usually the other way around? That's just plain funny no matter who you are!

For the ignorant at Hot Air, her money was not in Galveston, BAC has branches all over the country, which is why people choose BAC. Further, Hot Air doesn't know anything about the case beyond a 60 second internet video they must have seen, so maybe should be more modest with their conclusions. At the end of it all, what benefit is society getting from putting an eccentric 65 year old woman in jail, while releasing all the felons from jail, and paying them to vote.

If the bank / restaurant/ grocery store does not choose to sell product to willing customers that is their choice. Why would you try to force them to ?
There are idiots on both sides of the mask.

"No shirt, no shoes, no service". This is a private property issue. A business can set their own rules and expectations for their customers.
Otherwise, we'd have homeless people living inside banks and doing their business anywhere they wanted to.

A woman has been arrested for not wearing a useless mask in a non-existent pandemic. If the bank had demanded she strip naked or offer up a human sacrifice in order to bank there, and she refused, should she be arrested? Their company, their rules? Lord in heaven, people, get a grip.

Hi # 13. No one "... demanded she strip naked or offer up a human sacrifice in order to bank there ..."
Who forced her to bank there to begin with? Why not let the po po walk into your domicile anytime they want without a warrant just to look around?
Once again, this is private property and they can set the rules they expect their customers and employees to abide by.
This lady could have been inconvenienced for 30 minutes wearing a mask, pulled her money out and put the cash under her mattress or gone to another bank that didn't require one.
Instead, she decided to make a scene, make a fool out of herself and get arrested to boot.

Perfect. The end of the society happens when a woman is arrested in a bank for NOT wearing a mask. I am so old I remember when wearing a mask into a bank WAS a way to get arrested, or at least detained until someone in authority could figure out what was wrong with you.

I see both sides - private property vs individual freedom not to wear ineffective masks. I come down on the side of being able to breathe. As Foghorn Leghorn said, "Ah say, ah say boah, muh lungs CRAVE air!" When in stores I have it pulled down so I can at least breathe through my nose. I have yet to be hassled.
