Guam rep., National Guard bring Marjorie
Taylor Greene cookies, books

Guam's Congressional delegate Michael San Nicholas made good on his promise to deliver cookies to Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, after the freshman Congresswoman mistakenly referred to the US territory as a foreign nation receiving US aid. San Nichols was escorted to Taylor Greene's office in the US Capitol building on Monday by members of the Guam National Guard, carrying in hand a basket of cookies and books. However, as shown in a video uploaded to social media by The Hill, the congresswoman was not there to meet them. Instead, they were met by an aide, who thanked the guests "for keeping us safe."

Comments:

The previously posted article told us nothing about what this was about. It was a goofy stunt. He should not have had a NG escort.

Pretty embarrasing that a member of Congress, and a Republican to boot, did not know that Guam is a US territory.

#2, since the time Guard units in all 57 states, possessions and territories get funding from the feds (us). I get your point. They are not in the chain of command, but that's how some politicians think: if I can get you your funding, then you must obey me. Jerks.

This is nothing but a violation of the UCMJ. They can say, "Oh, it's OK according to DoD Directive #so-and-so," but the UCMJ trumps ALL and these little stooges just violated it. Give them all Article 15's, make them apologize to the Congresswoman, and send their punk arses home.

Sorry, Guam is a tiny, tiny and totally insignificant dot in the Pacific. The error is embarassing, but I'll bet that 80-90% of Americans under age 55 would not know it is an American territory, and as a "bonus" question, I doubt if 1 in 20 could, without prompting tell that it is an island and in what ocean it is located.

Most Republican senators signed onto a letter to the Government Accountability Office accusing Joe Biden of 'unlawful' acts in stopping construction of Donald Trump's southern border wall on Day One of his presidency. '[I]n one of the first official acts of his presidency, Joseph Biden suspended border wall construction and ordered a freeze of funds provided by Congress for that purpose,' the 40 senators wrote. 'In the weeks that followed, operational control of our southern border was compromised and a humanitarian and national security crisis has ensued.' Nothing exemplifies the madness of our times more than the fervent push since 2013 by therapists, educators, social workers, and journalists to poison, mutilate, and sterilize girls who have self-diagnosed themselves with the novel social-media-transmitted hysteria now known as rapid-onset gender dysphoria (ROGD). Hence, Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters by Abigail Shrier, an op-ed freelancer for The Wall Street Journal, is one of the most valuable (as well as sensible and lively) books of recent years. We are locked in a zero-sum game rebellion of the elites, who are intent on fundamentally transforming America into an authoritarian state with a single ideology and ruling class. In order to defeat this rebellion, we need to understand the terrain we are operating on and the strategy and tactics of our enemy. Even more important, we need a strategy of our own to guide our struggle and return to a functional representative government, bounded by the Constitution with the power fully vested in the people. Only a few decades ago, American politics was driven by shared interests of prosperity and well-being aligned with a free constitutional republic. We need

I am not a particular fan of Ernest Hemingway’s novel “The Sun Also Rises.” But there is one exchange between two of the characters, Bill Gorton and Mike Campbell, that has stuck with me. “How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked. “Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.” That passage has been running through my head a lot recently. I thought of it last week when I learned that Dr. Seuss Enterprises had decided to stop selling six books by the famous children’s author because—according to the bureaucrats at the concession—they depict various ethnic groups in ways that are “hurtful and wrong.”

This is a smart, short, simple and common sense approach to start a process of state-wide vote integrity. No more private sector cash allowed into the coffers of any state election official. States fund the election, precincts manage the election, no outside financial influences allowed inside the election process; period. ARIZONA – In 2020, private grants, largely funded by donations from Facebook’s founder, helped pay for elections across the country. Now Republican lawmakers in Arizona and other states are voting to prohibit election workers from ever accepting such funds again.
