NEW ORLEANS — The Drew Brees era with the New Orleans Saints — marked by a Super Bowl celebration, raucous record-setting nights in the rebuilt Superdome and the undersized quarterback’s outsized role in a historic city’s rebirth — has ended.Brees, the NFL’s leader in career completions and yards passing, has decided to retire after 20 NFL seasons, including his last 15 with New Orleans.“Til the very end I exhausted myself to give everything to the Saints organization, my team and the great city of New Orleans,” Brees said in social media post on Sunday, 15 years to the day after he signed with the Saints.

Being a Saints fan from the beginning the Drew Brees era brought us success we thought would never come. He will be missed on the field.

Never a Saints fan, but always admired Brees for his abilities and character. The respect for his character took a hit when he capitulated to the woke crowd, backing down from his stand (no pun intended) against kneeling during the National Anthem.

Congrats, Drew Brees, on a wonderful career! Does it make me a bad person to hope Tom Brady goes on to surpass all of Brees's records? I hope not. I love my Tom.

I won't miss him because he showed he is so spineless he folded completely on the radical organization destroying cities and supporting the breakdown of society.

Being a Purdue fan I love Brees. I wish, however, when he was pressured to back down from his support of the flag that he would have retired right then. He should have said screw you.

This frees up a lot of salary cap $. Not sure if it's enough to purchase a young, high potential QB. Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston are already on the roster but neither are the answer unless NO is content to be an 8-8 team.

Drew Brees was headed for a great career in San Diego with LaDainian Tomlinson behind him in the backfield until his advocate, GM John Butler passed away in 2003. The Chargers then drafted and put their money on Philip Rivers in 2004. Two years later, free agent Brees signed with the Saints and went on to win a Super Bowl. Rivers? Like Brees - great guy, outstanding family man (nine kids - all with his high school sweetheart), exciting player, had many great games, and also retired this year. Never won a Super Bowl, though. Not even the conference.

Always a good thing to retire at the appropriate time and not hang on until no team wants you.

The Rhode Island Democrat suggested that the investigation into Kavanaugh’s conduct had been incomplete, and asked Garland to examine how thoroughly the FBI had investigated Kavanaugh, according to the Guardian. The publication noted that the letter could push the DOJ to address questions about the Kavanaugh investigation, though it may not result in the FBI re-examining the matter.

A group of current and former teachers and others in Loudoun County, Virginia compiled a lengthy list of parents suspected of disagreeing with school system actions, including its teaching of controversial racial concepts — with a stated purpose in part to “infiltrate,” to use “hackers” to silence parents’ communications, and to “expose these people publicly.”Members of a 624-member private Facebook group called “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County” named parents and plotted fundraising and other offline work. Some used pseudonyms, but The Daily Wire has identified them as a who’s who of the affluent jurisdiction outside D.C., including schools staff and elected officials.
