President Biden is reportedly planning to include the first major tax hike in close to 30 years in the next economic spending bill set to follow his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package. The next spending initiative — which is expected to be even bigger, costing as much as $4 trillion — won't rely on just government debt as a funding source and could include an increase in both the corporate tax rate and the individual rate for high-income earners, according to Bloomberg News, citing a person familiar with the matter. The planned changes include: raising the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21%, raising the income tax rate

New new wave of Democrat voters is flowing across our southern border. Their votes are needed to offset the votes of the people who are fed up with paying taxes to meet the basic needs of these intruders. It is all a math game...plus s few hundred thousand phantom ballots that appear in the dark morning hours.

The cartoon on the home page is particularly appropriate today. Hubby and I both qualify for the $1400 covid check each based on last year’s income. We are now both retired. Today we received a letter from the Dept. of the Treasury that we together would get one check in the amount of $485. I guess that felons and illegals are getting the other $2,315. How much is that check going to cost us? Talk about “crumbs”, Nancy.

My suggestion to Republicans, stay out of their way and let the democrats present their plans. Don't look like you're the party of the rich, as they are intending to use any comment about raising taxes on the wealthy against every single one of you. The only thing I would say is they should reduce the capital gains income level down from $1 million to $400-500,000 as it likely captures folks like Warren Buffett more, as I doubt he spends $1 million per year. Just let the democrats pile on the taxes for the wealthy, and close many of the loopholes they've wanted to close for so many years. Don't get in their way.

Is anyone the least big surprised?!?!?!? We all knew this was coming when not-my-president Lyin' Joe Biden's handlers stole the election for him. However, I still think these headlines are so funny. Not-my-president Lyin' Joe Biden is too senile to be "planning" anything. His handlers are making lots of plans to destroy this nation and our economy. Not-my-VP Camel-Toe Whorish is planning all sorts of terrible things once she has not-my-president Lyin' Joe Biden removed using the 25th amendment and starts to institute all of her socialist nightmare list on us peasants.

O'Reilly's next book needs to be "Killing the Golden Goose." Raise taxes and more businesses will close; more workers, including union members, will lose their jobs. Luxuries like movies and dinners out will have to be curtailed, hurting already-struggling theaters and restaurants. The democrats will keep on catering to the do-nothings and illegal aliens in this country until there is no more money left to steal. The joke will be on them. Conservatives know how to make do, grow gardens and live without costly entertainment options. Liberals will be lost without Door Dash food deliveries.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell threatened on Tuesday to turn the Senate into a "100-car pileup" and block "even the most basic aspects" of its business if Democrats get rid of the legislative filibuster as progressives are asking. McConnell, R-Ky., made the comments in a floor speech on Tuesday that was similar to others he's previously made during times of increased chatter about getting rid of the filibuster. "So let me say this very clearly for all 99 of my colleagues. Nobody serving in this chamber can even begin to imagine what a completely scorched-earth Senate would look like," McConnell said.

The Alaska Republican Party vows to "recruit" a challenger to Sen. Lisa Murkowski if she runs for reelection next year, but don't expect the Republican National Committee (RNC) or the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) to join the effort against the state's senior senator. National party chair Ronna McDaniel emphasized to Fox News in January that "the RNC stays neutral in primaries for a very good reason. Because somebody has to be there to pick up the pieces of difficult primaries and help bring the party back together."

The Washington Post made a massive correction Monday to a January report about a phone call between then-President Donald Trump and Georgia elections investigator Frances Watson, admitting it wrongly attributed multiple quotes to Trump based on an anonymous source. The Post initially reported Trump had told an official working in Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's office to "find the fraud" in the state, which he lost narrowly to Joe Biden, and that she would be a "national hero" if she did. However, a newly emerged recording of the Dec. 23 call found he didn't use those words.

Mexico continues to struggle with the sharply rising number of migrants turned away at the U.S. southern border, with many claiming they were "promised" by President Biden that they could enter the country. The increased focus on the border situation has brought journalists to Texas, where the problem is most severe: Migrant camps litter the border, with camps of dozens or hundreds of people who are either waiting to enter the U.S. or were just turned back. New York Times reporters witnessed a number of incidents where migrants were turned away from the border. Most were in tears, with some saying, "Biden promised us!" as they returned to Mexico.

The Biden administration is facing what it admits is an "overwhelming" number of migrants at the southern border while scrambling to construct new facilities to hold child migrants -- but it is doggedly refusing to describe the situation as a "crisis."
