Over the last year, good news has been a rarity in the hospitality industry.
A year removed from the initial pandemic-related shutdown that has been likened to a death sentence for the industry, Pennsylvania restaurants received some news they haven't had in months — something agreeable.
"I'm just happy. I'd like it to be yesterday, but glad they're being reasonable," said Granfalloons Tavern co-owner Dylan Bauer.
On Monday, Gov. Tom Wolf announced plans to lift some restaurant restrictions, including an increase to 75% indoor occupancy for self-certified restaurants and the return of bar service.

A sheriff whose county sits on the Mexican border said the new surge of migrants essentially has an open door into the United States — and he believes the “crisis” will only get worse if the Biden administration doesn’t take swift action.
“Now, basically, the border’s open,” Sheriff J.E. Guerra told The Post late Wednesday afternoon shortly after a ride-along with one of the department’s sergeants.
“We’re hopeful with this administration, [Biden’s] got an opportunity starting now but let’s wait and see, they’ve got to make a decision here pretty quick because as long as they think that, ‘Hey, the border’s open,’ here comes the flood..."

A federal appeals court judge issued an extraordinary opinion Friday attacking partisan bias in the news media, lamenting the treatment of conservatives in American society and calling for the Supreme Court to overturn a landmark legal precedent that protects news outlets from lawsuits over reports about public figures. D.C. Circuit Senior Judge Laurence Silberman’s diatribe, contained in his dissent in a libel case, amounted to a withering, frontal assault on the 1964 Supreme Court decision that set the framework for modern defamation law — New York Times v. Sullivan.

The White House has blamed Biden falling up the stairs of Air Force One on the wind and insisted he is '100 percent fine'.
Biden, 78, was boarding the aircraft at Joint Base Andrews just before noon for a flight to Atlanta when he stumbled. He gripped on to the railing, steadied himself and kept going but lost his footing a second time and then a third.
On the third trip, he fell to his knees. He got back up then carried on up the stairs before giving a salute at the top then disappearing into the aircraft.

For 20 years, Democrat sexual predators have run the state of New York.
For 13 years, the terms of the last three Democrat governors, sexual harassers have held down the office. And for 20 years, Democrat attorney generals who were sexual predators ruled.
It’s quite an achievement for a national and state party that claims to protect women.
"There is a disrespect for women that this administration chronically exemplifies. After the #MeToo movement, they did absolutely nothing when it came to sexual harassment," Governor Cuomo ranted about President Trump during the Kavanaugh nomination.

A Donald Trump wax figure has become a whacks figure at a museum in Texas.
Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks has removed its likeness of the former president, saying it was suffering too much damage because so many visitors were punching it.
“When it’s a highly political figure, attacks can be a problem,” Clay Stewart, the regional manager for Ripley Entertainment, tells the San Antonio Express-News. Stewart tells the Express-News that the gouges left in the figure were quite deep.
It’s not a problem exclusive to Trump. Figures of Barack Obama and George W. Bush also have taken a beating in the past.

The Soros DA in question is LA's George Gascon in close competition with SF's Chesa Boudin for the title of the worst pro-crime DA.
While Gascon was backed by Soros, he was also funded by a variety of entertainment industry figures, including the wife of the Netflix CEO and Steven Spielberg, and his time in office has been characterized by a thuggery nearly as ruthless as the criminals he was selected to protect.
The targets of Gascon's thuggery were the prosecutors trying to do their job.
There have been some horrifying things that happened on Gascon's watch, but this might be yet another low.

Detergent and cleaning brand Tide is urging Americans to do their laundry in cold water; to save the planet, and maybe save some money.
As part of their effort to lower the carbon footprint of doing laundry, Tide’s new campaign is aimed at getting people to do an average of three out of four loads of laundry with cold water by 2030. [SNIP]
The switch will cut down on the power consumption needed to heat the water.
"This is going to be the defining decade for where we end up on climate change," Shailesh Jejurikar, CEO of Procter & Gamble's fabric and home care division, said in an interview.

An American-born ISIS bride has admitted that when Donald Trump tweeted she should never be allowed back into the US she 'lost all hope'.

In the final months of the Trump administration, House Democrats universally voted to demand the unconstitutional use of the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.
The 25th Amendment was meant to remove presidents who were unable to discharge their duties. President Trump was clearly able to do so, but Biden may be exactly the disastrous scenario that the 25th Amendment was created to avoid. And he may be its worst test case.
A basic problem with the Biden administration is that there really isn’t one.
