Joseph Sedacca’s own children could tell that their father wasn’t a normal man. Emotionally, they could see that there was something wrong with him.
A Sephardic Jew born in Turkey in 1916, Joseph came to America after the second world war. He always seemed suspicious of others, as if threatened; he spoke very loudly and yelled often when his kids were young; his nieces and nephews, as children, were afraid of him.
Stories of Joseph were told around the dinner table(Snip)of how he was in the concentration camps where Jews were sent to be exterminated by the Nazis. “Did he work in the ovens?” some pondered. It must have been horrifying,

A spectacular article that is deserving of must read, Sadly, Pelosi and Schumer are on a path to this type of tyranny against those who oppose them. I believe the phrase “never forget” is appropriate.

Heartbreaking story.
Hard to imagine that Democrats think this is the solution for Conservatives.

This story needs to heard and never forgotten. Especially by the young generations, who have no idea of the inhumane brutality that happened to the Jews. I hate to say this, but I see signs today similar to what happened then. Not for the Jews but to Americans who disagree with the Left. There are several factions now in force that have power and are not on our side. They want to dictate and control us.
I'll keep it at that. Most folks here know what's happening.
Pray for our country and stay safe.

Ours was a Christian family in Washington, D.C., who sponsored a Belgian Jewish family of three in 1945. This 6th grader learned early about their trials and celebrated with them their freedom and safety. Their boy was my age and had been hidden through out the war, but his parents had to survive the camps. I learned much from his mother's love, but the reality of their experiences permanently affected the way I have viewed evil.

Many years ago I worked as a technician in a sleep lab at a hospital that serviced a large Jewish community. I worked on a number of older people with numbers on their arms. I commented to them a few times about it, but never asked them about their past. I felt it was too personal, and asking didn't seem to belong in this particular medical situation. Besides, I wanted them to sleep, not relive their experiences with wires attached to them. However, a few did tell me a story or two that they remembered. Living history from the people who lived it.

I wonder if the snowflake dims think Trump did all this.
Or just are unconcerned, like the Eloi when Weena was drowning.
The arc and compass of history and mankind’s deeds are staggering. These history-blind dim sycophants are like rats at sea on a chunk of ice heading for warm waters. I hope things turnout better than they look to me.

Not just these stories need to be told and retold but the younger generation needs to be told of the 100 million men, woman and children murdered by communists in Russia, China, Cuba, Hungary, North Korea, Viet nam, Cambodia. Of course, in this country they call themselves 'progressives' but they are communists and if these millennials and GenZ's think this won't happen here they not only have blinders on their eyes but their fingers in their ears.

I am a family historian, so stories like this are especially interesting to me. Our ancestors' history needs to be preserved, and in this case, the first-hand knowledge of Concentration camp survivors is being lost when the stories are not recorded. Written records are the best in my opinion, as technology changes so fast that electronic stories have to be upgraded to be compatible with newer technologies. It is nice to have a copy in your hands. As for the Holocaust, it is fortunate that about a decade after WWII ended, Jewish historians recognized the necessity of preserving the histories of the survivors. We now have a lot of data and information on the Holocaust because of this.
Even if you do not have stories directly connected to major historical events like this story is, do record the information you get from your elders, or research the records and write the story. Spread the information among many children, nieces and nephews so it is not lost! You yourself also may have stories worth preserving. Do it!

Though nowhere near to this scale, before he died if you got my dad drunk enough he might talk about Korea and Vietnam. The horrors he went through are unimaginable. I'm sure the current generation from the gulf wars have similar stories. We humans have been doing this to each other since the dawn of history. No sign of letting up any time soon.

How can you not cry ? I met someone with numbers. This is what they should teach in school, not nonsense. See why they want to destroy our history ?
Stopping the draft was a big mistake in this country.

This is a long, horrific story. Warning: One photo may be difficult to view, although some of us saw these in Life magazine years ago. In order for us to fully understand what these people were put through, we have to read their stories. The least we can do. And it must never be allowed to happen again, although China is engaged in similar behavior. Will Biden Inc continue to avert their eyes?
