The “Trump-made-me-do-it” defense is already looking like a longshot.
Facing damning evidence in the deadly Capitol siege last month — including social media posts flaunting their actions — rioters are arguing in court they were following then-President Donald Trump’s instructions on Jan. 6. But the legal strategy has already been shot down by at least one judge and experts believe the argument is not likely to get anyone off the hook for the insurrection where five people died, including a police officer.

The “defense” attorneys sound like they’re from Lawfare or the DNC.

Time frame shows that PRESIDENT Trump was still giving his speech when all the “storming” went on at the Capitol.
I wish someone would show the whole video of the crowd shouting antifa. Because those were the ones storming and breaking windows. A Trumpster tried to stop the breaking of a window. It’s out there somewhere. It’s all on video or someone’s phone.

Everyone who died in and around the capitol, dies because Democrats planned it - eight up to the bullet in the chest for an Air Force veteran. The officer died after the riot of natural causes. Three of the other four died of natural causes. One person was trampled... I believe this happened when the Capitol police shot the veteran.
The Democrats prevented the Capitol Police from controlling the crowd. Video suggests that people closest the Capitol were guided in by police, then trapped, by Ringers in the crowd shouting at them to enter even before Trumps speech was done.

Deadly riots, insurrection, five dead. Are these what they mean by the term "dog whistle" Anyway, the AP is the same organization that brought us three years of a fabricated Russian collusion.

Worthless AP 'Advocacy Press'!
From the 'extract':
- "the deadly Capitol siege"... but they called the Antifa riots "mostly peaceful protests" with the flames roaring 30 to 40 feet in the air behind the reporter.
- "rioters are arguing in court".... But the Antifa/BLM thugs were 'Peaceful Protesters".
- "the insurrection where five people died, including a police officer" makes it sound like five people were killed in the "riot", when only ONE person was killed, and that by a Police officer inside the Capitol.... who is being hidden by the Government and the Press. Of the others, one older guy had a heart attack, another older guy had a stroke, one rather obese woman collapsed - not sure why, and the 'including a police officer'... THAT story has changed, and changed, and now they are not saying what he died from, other than it was NOT 'blunt force trauma", and he died in a hospital, either that evening or the next day.
Lying FILTH Media!

However ............. this might be the right defense to present to a DC jury, who will happily blame Trump for anything bad that happens.

I don’t believe that there is any evidence that Trump told anyone to go to the Capitol Building, assault police officers, damage government property, or otherwise violate the law by unlawfully entering the Capitol building. I think those rioters would be better off using the old dumb ass defense.

The dimkraps were instantly ready to exploit the violence by silencing their enemies. They were the beneficiaries of the violence. They lowered security to make a planned event possible and some sort of mishap inevitable. In 2016 the dims were video taped stating a goal to foment violence at Trump rallies to discredit him.
Why wouldn’t the dims foment violence at a Trump event? Look how they’ve benefited.
Is there any reason to believe they didn’t engineer that event?

What "deadly" Capitol siege was that? The only person who died violently was murdered by a Capitol policeman, who we still have not been given the name of.

Think 'Anita Hill mantra'
'It's the seriousness of the charge, not the nature of the evidence.'

There was an insurrection and coup that day, for sure. But it wasn't accomplished by the protesters.

Just as we will never know the true count of how many people attended the January 6, 2021 rally in D.C, most people will never know that there was only one killing that day at the rally - a woman veteran who was killed by a member of the Capitol police. It is all Pravda - everywhere - all the time now. As someone has said, "Journalism is dead".

Pelosi's impeachment charges were long shots too. It took them four years to find nothing in the Russia-Russia investigation and months to find nothing in the Ukraine phone call. They will investigate 1/6 for a year and find nothing. At least it will keep their scrambled heads busy not finding other evil.

But I bet "Pelosi-made-me-do-it" and "Soros-paid-me-to-do-it" would be successful defenses, because they would be the truth

This tripe is from the AP. One would be best advised to read something else.
