New York - OPEC and Russia's unprecedented production cuts last spring lifted oil prices out of a death spiral. Nearly a year later, the group is under pressure to cool off the red-hot market. US crude has raced back above $60 a barrel. That's a far cry from the depths it reached last April when oil crashed below zero (negative $40.32 a barrel, to be exact) for the first time in history. Prices at the pump are starting to creep higher, too. The national average hit $2.70 a gallon Friday, according to AAA. That's well above the April low of $1.76

Wear masks when out, stay six feet or more away from fellow humans, and stay home when not at work. This is leftist Utopia.

Trains! We need more trains! Revive Cali's bullet trains! Pack 'em like sardines in a can! Then, put everyone in high-density, energy efficient studio apartments within walking distance of nearly everything and biking distance of everything else!
The only way to save the planet is to make people miserable!

Gee, that didn't take long. Talk about cause and effect. Biden and the Democrats regain power, and the price of gasoline goes up immediately. This effects anyone that has to drive a car which is most people. food prices will start to climb since they rely on truck delivery. How long before utility prices start to climb? Anyone else notice we seem to be fighting the same issues for decades anymore? Our government refuses to solve them. As a matter of fact, they exacerbate them.

And the policies signed by Biden (most certainly not developed by him) will hurt the poor and middle class the worst. Nice regressive "taxation" there, Democrats.

Oh. So it’s Russia and OPEC’s fault? It has nothing to do with Xiden shutting down the pipeline and ending fracking?
I bought gasoline on Friday and it was $2.89. My car takes mid-level gas and when PDT left office it was $2.19. By summer, it will be up to $4 again.

We are already paying over $3.00 a gallon here in Washington state. The green brained governor (Inslee) has piled on another 40 cents in tax, with a cute promise to add even more. His plan is to get people out of their cars, yet by doing so the revenue from car and gas tax decreases significantly. I really liked it when President Trump's policies made us energy independent

The way Biden and the Democrats have been portraying Russia and Saudi Arabia to the American people and the world makes it very unlikely that Russia and Saudi Arabia will increase oil production in a way that they believe will help Biden and the Democrats. So get ready to pay a lot higher price for gasoline and oil in throughout the USA.

When Biden took office gas was $2.29/gal and diesel was $2.39/gal. Now gas is $2.79 and diesel is $2.99 and both are going up daily it seems. OPEC is not going to do us any favors and start pumping more oil - they are just going to raise their prices. They were upset when we stopped buying their oil, so this is pay back.

The Demonrats WANT you to be trapped at home, and poor. Cheap energy and the ability to just hop in your personal gasoline powered car with a 500 mile range offends them. They are working hard to take this away from you.
Raising prices for energy and mandating horrible little electric golf carts is a major aspect of CONTROL.

Well, all of the Young Woke Biden Voters in my family commute to work. I think it will maybe wake them up to the fact that if gas prices rise for Republicans, they will ALSO rise for the Young Impressionable Sculls of Mush (as Rush called them). Can't tell them anything, they will have to feel it in their pocketbooks before the figure it out!

CNN is already pushing the lie that higher gas prices are Russia's fault rather than Biden's ban's on American energy production.

Democrats always come up with a false cover for their unquenchable desire for more taxes. So now, in addition to their disastrous energy policies that are indeed jacking up gas prices, multiple Democrat-run states are also imposing much higher state taxes on gasoline. The asserted reason is to drive down the use of private, gas-powered cars, but the truth is that it's also a very reliable and easy tax to bail out their bloated budgets. So California, Washington, and others are piling on.
Frankly, I hope their states see $9 a gallon gas. I want all those nice, educated, suburban women who continue to vote for these insane Democrats to feel the pain. Maybe their votes will change when they have to forego their Botox injections because they need to spend another $150 to fill up the minivan to take Buffy to her soccer match after her school struggle session where she had to denounce her white privilege. Maybe.

I dumped my SUV in October for a car that gets 34 miles per gallon. Now instead of stopping for gas two to three times a week, I stop one time, and I'm good for the week. The car I got has more power than the Jeep I had, is all wheel drive, and has heated everything, and when the gas pedal pressed, it throws you back into the seat, and handles like it's on rails. I saw the coming price of oil and gas rising in price last summer.

It's deliberate. We're back to depending on unstable foreign countries for energy needs. The article goes on to say higher gas prices will get people to dump SUVs in favor of electric tin cans.
