Jill and Joe Biden Do Yet Another Joint
Interview, and It's Really Awkward

Original Article

Perhaps we’ve had it all wrong about who is really acting as president while Joe Biden goes to bed at sundown. Most have figured that the shadow-presidency we are currently witnessing would be run by Kamala Harris. After all, she’s the vice president and she’s nakedly ambitious. Yet, more and more, it looks like Harris is being pushed into the background while Jill Biden is really pulling the strings. Not only does she routinely act as the President’s crutch during interviews, she’s now interrupting him to articulate policy in language that makes it seem a lot like she’s in charge. This is some awkward, awkward stuff.

Bonchie pulls no punches. I noticed that she interrupted Joebama in order to do her little “we” bit. He didn’t falter; she interrupted. Wonder how that sets with Kamala and the rest of Biden’s henchpersons. So obvious. TOO obvious. I expected this to happen when she referred to his inauguaration as “our inauguration”. Her naked ambition is there for all to see...

You have to wonder if Dr. Jill has access to the keys necessary to activate the national nuclear codes? Biden can’t even put a writing pen back in his jacket pocket surely can’t be trusted with such keys, as if enemy hypersonic nuclear missiles were detected in bound to USA targets, Dr. Jill would only have minutes to find those keys for “the big guy” before they started hearing big bangs!

Joe emphasized THOUSANDS of children are coming across the border. Jill cut in to change the subject to how "humane" it all is, what with their administration prioritizing every need the children may have, from housing and health care, to mental health issues, to education. Just making sure everyone understands neither America nor Americans come First as the Biden/Democrat agenda redirects resources to far more important (to democrats) arrivals.

Gee, who could have predicted this outcome from the rapid dismantling of the disincentives against border swarming? The US currently holds 30% more minors in adult detention centers under Joe Biden than at any time during the Trump administration, the Washington Post reported last night. They aren’t the “cages” built and used in both the Trump and Obama administrations, but there’s not much difference to these facilities either, Nick Miroff notes: The magnitude of the crisis facing President Biden at the U.S.-Mexico border came into clearer focus Wednesday as the new administration was holding record numbers of unaccompanied migrant teens and children in detention cells

The Texas Rangers are on track to become the first team in Major League Baseball or any major U.S.-based sports league to have a full-capacity crowd since the coronavirus pandemic started altering the sports landscape a year ago. On the same day Texas Gov. An influx of unaccompanied migrant children awaiting shelter at the southern border has raised serious humanitarian concerns as federal health officials struggle to find space for them in Department of Health and Human Services shelters. A record number of them are being held at adult detention cells beyond the legal limit of 72 hours. Nearly 3500 minors are waiting at border patrol stations, spending an average of 107 hours inside the steel and concrete cells built for adults, Washington Post reported. More than 8500 unaccompanied migrant children are now housed in Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) shelters as they wait to be placed with relatives or sponsors.

Buried within the $1.9 trillion emergency spending bill that Congress sent to President Joe Biden's desk on Wednesday is a provision that could effectively block states from cutting taxes if they accept federal bailout dollars. That provision, added to the bill by the Senate last week, could put a halt to several states' plans to cut taxes this year as a way to stimulate economic growth following the COVID-19 pandemic. Depending on how the text is interpreted, the measure could also make it illegal for states to create new tax credit programs like the ones that have become a popular mechanism for expanding school choice.

DES MOINES — Senate Republicans indicated Wednesday they expect to forge ahead with broad-based tax reform yet this session despite a number of unresolved issues clouding the outlook of Iowa’s economy. “What we’re trying to do is put Iowa on a shining pathway going forward and re-imagine what a competitive tax code looks like here in the state,” said Sen. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has criticized West Virginia Governor Jim Justice's plan to introduce major tax cuts, after the Republican took aim at Manchin over the latest COVID-19 stimulus package. Justice complained Monday about a clause in the American Rescue Plan that prevents states from using relief funds to offset revenue losses from tax cuts. The governor wants to eliminate personal income taxes in the state, phasing them out over the next few years, beginning with a 60 percent cut in January 2022. The lost income tax revenue would be recouped through increases in other taxes but would still leave the state with a $90 million shortfall, according to The Intelligencer.

JEFFERSON CITY — If Missouri wants a share of the new federal pandemic relief aid package, Republicans may have to delay their quest to cut state taxes. The $1.9 trillion stimulus package heading to President Joseph Biden’s desk contains language saying states cannot “directly or indirectly” reduce tax rates if they want the money. The aim of the provision is to bar states from cutting taxes and then back-filling the revenue hole with federal dollars meant for relief. At stake for Missouri is an estimated $5 billion in relief that is designed to help pay for government services and help businesses, families and schools weather the ongoing pandemic.
