An elite Massachusetts liberal arts college has quietly conceded that there was no truth to allegations of racism made by one of their students that 'ruined the lives' of numerous campus workers. Oumou Kanoute was in the canteen at Smith College on July 31, 2018 when she claimed she was profiled for 'eating while black' after a security guard asked her what she was doing. Kanoute posted video of the incident on social media and claimed that she was the victim of racism.(Snip) On the day of the incident, Kanoute, a 21-year-old who was raised in New York after her family emigrated

If stories like this one sicken you, prepare yourself to be ill most of the time. McCartney, Smith’s President did a grave injustice to her employees by condemning them before she ever knew the facts. This grievance bullying is so very dangerous especially in today’s culture. Lives are being ruined because innocent people are being labeled as racists. Accusers know that it is a highly inflammatory charge and will garner them sympathy and publicity. The mob mentality regarding this issue is relentless, and the sole purpose of these accusations is to destroy lives and this is a quick and effective way to do it. Virtue signalers like McCartney should be sacked and be forced to apologize to the employees whose lives were ruined. The employees should be reinstated and financially compensated. The accuser should be booted off campus. This is a tempest in a tea cup that could only elevated to this level because we have devolved into accepting systemic bullying as a remedy to any imagined slight.

No, she was eating with "black privilege" that made her think she could do whatever she wanted, even after being told she wasn't supposed to be there. Many blacks have become so privileged and arrogant after decades of being given preferences and deference that they believe they are beyond the normal rules that everyone else must follow. Anyone opposing them must be "racist" and condemned.

another glaringly obvious case of "black privilege" so, would she have done the same thing if the security guard just happened to be one of our black brothers and sisters? probably so ...and... she is probably not paying any part of the $80,000 that the white and legitimate black students pay to attend that overrated pile of bricks in western massachusetts. oh, that's right she was a "TA" at the summer program which means she was being paid to be there. this is a shameful incident and the blame rests with the wo-man who run the joint.

A tad off point, but - I gave an acquaintence a ride to a big-box store because he wanted to return a vacuum cleaner. He had used it over a year. He had no receipt. He went up to the customer service counter and plopped it down, saying the item was no good and they betterr give him a refund. They did, without question. He wasn't Caucasian. I am, and if I had done the same thing, store security would have been called. Minorities use their perceived victimhood as sledgehammers to demand benefits that others cannot recieve in an ethical, moral, and just World. I stopped offering rides to the individual. All these "racial incidents' are frauds. The one common thread in these 'racial injustice' events in the last decade or two, is THEY NEVER HAPPENED. Totally made up. Big splash when they "happen", and a tiny, tiny notice on page 63 when they are found to be fraud. I always assume that these incidents are a lie, from the first announcement. And I am always right.

Eating while black. What the freak does that mean. Only a racist talks like that. Completely absurd. 99% of these racist accusations are always proven false and in not one case has the accuser been held accountable. Lives have been destroyed by the vicious lies of certain people who don't give a damn about anybody but themselves. And the stupidity of those who institute moronic policies without verifying if the incident is true or not is appalling. Got it.

Don't you just love it when employees actually follow company policies then get in trouble for actually following the policies! The janitor should get an award for following policy. So what if an entitled student (Black or White) didn't like it! If the canteen is closed, it's closed! Perhaps Ms. Kanoute needs some remedial reading lessons so she can read the CLOSED sign. Also, did she selectively edit he recording of her encounter with the campus security officer? If what she claimed was true, it should all have been recorded. She must have had a victimhood class that day and wanted to apply it to real life.

So, if I really want to go to Alaska but my "deeply felt sense of personal truth," tells me I should head south-east to do this, does it work any better if my "narrative" is validated by media lefties? Hundreds of migrants are waiting in an encampment in Tijuana, Mexico, until they can be processed and potentially released into the United States interior by President Joe Biden’s administration. The photos show the scale to which migrants are sitting in close range to the U.S.-Mexico border in the hopes of being released into the U.S. interior.
