Tiger Woods was hospitalised with “multiple leg injuries” after being involved in a serious car crash in California. Fire fighters had to free the golf superstar from his Genesis GV80 SUV using a “jaws of life” tool shortly after 7am on Tuesday in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles. Authorities say that his car, which was the only vehicle involved in the crash, rolled over and sustained “major damage” in the incident near Rolling Hills Estates at 7.12AM. “On 23 February 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes,” the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department

Hawthorne Boulevard in that area is not curvy but it is very steep. There is even a truck runaway area not much further down. He just played in the Genesis golf tournament and was driing a loaner Geneisis SUV.

Tiger didn't play in the Genesis Tourney cause of recent back surgery. One wonders if surgery and pain pills played a part. What fans really want to know is if these injuries will keep him out of the Masters. Hope he heals quickly and hope it wasn't driver error or misjudgment. I'll give Tiger this, he never took a knee.

OK, one car accident.....drunk or drugged or fell asleep? I am always unimpressed when someone manages to crash a car all by themselves. And yes, I have NEVER had a car accident in my 54 years of driving many millions of miles, other than being hit when stopped at stop signs and stop lights four different times since 1977, at least a decade apart, and every time, I was stopped for more than 10 seconds when hit by some fool. Driving a Kia? Gee whiz, he could afford a Mercedes or something. My perception is that Kia's are cheapos, not even on my screen to own. I wonder if he'd have fared better in something else? No idea how their rollover crash rating is compared to others, though. Maybe they are fine for safety.

#8 - I don't think it was his car...a loaner while he was out there, which could be the reason he wrecked. When driving a different vehicle than your own (especially in today's world w/ all the distracting tech and bells and whistles), he could've easily misjudged or made a mistake. I'll wait for the whole story to come out before passing judgment (with Tiger, the story could go either way).

#8, a Genesis is not a Kia. They were originally made by Hyundai, but are now their own company, and they are luxury cars (hence the departure ftom the Hyundai brand).

#8: look closely, the SUV was a Hyundai Genesis. Prices begin at $50,000. He had been in a Genesis-sponsored tournament. The vehicle was probably on loan to him.

I have never seen anyone get into more scrapes that scream, “He was drinking!” when he is reported not to have been than Tiger Woods. A beneficiary of a friendly press, money changing hands or the victim of bad luck, who knows. But his life has gotten terribly messy and he could probably use some prayers and good wishes.

The mayor of a Broward County city claims the governor's intent to lower the flags for conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh violates Florida protocol and is calling on other state leaders to publicly renounce the decision. Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday during an appearance in West Palm Beach that, once funeral arrangements for Limbaugh have been finalized, the state is "going to be lowering the flags to half-staff." The 70-year-old Palm Beach resident died Wednesday of complications from lung cancer. While the distinction is typically reserved for government figures and first responders who have been killed in the line of duty, Section 256.015 of the Florida statutes states that the governor

During the CNN town hall in Milwaukee earlier this week, the gentleman from Madame Tussauds gave a short discourse on China and human rights. Referring to his telephone call with China President Xi Jinping, President Biden explained (Snip) This seems to me an incredibly rich text illustrating Biden’s “thought.” I can’t do full justice to it. I would only point out the cultural relativism that lies at the core of Democratic orthodoxy. China has their thing and we have ours. Their thing involves tyranny and abuse of human rights. Our thing involves the condemnation of same. When Biden says Xi “gets it,” we see the tribute that idiocy pays to duplicity.

The saying “if you’re not paying for it then you’re the product” is a popular explanation for why some Internet services, like the Google apps, Facebook, Twitter, etc., let users join them for “free.” The situation is better understood when restated as “the users supply the content and the giant Internet platforms monetize it.” Big Silicon has become mind-blowingly rich by selling advertising and data mining access to content provided by billions of ‘members.’ In return, the members receive the privilege of being ‘allowed’ to upload their videos, post their rants, share their snaps, and do reportage on these magnificent sites. In a new essay at Law and Liberty, I characterize Bidenomics as “paranormal.” Here’s a teaser: US government debt now stands at $20 trillion, or roughly 100% of GDP. This should be a concern, but Democratic economists are not worried. A much-discussed November 30 paper by former Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers and former Council of Economic Advisors Chairman Jason Furman suggests that Democratic thinking has veered into the paranormal, with an emphasis on levitation. Governments will be able to borrow and spend as much as

Eric Swalwell has the distinction of being the first American congressman believed to have had a sexual affair with a Chinese spy. Maybe that explains why Nancy Pelosi assigned him to his old seat on the Home Security panel. After all, who has more knowledge about spies than someone whom a spy duped? However, Pelosi may be sending us a few other messages we just have to decode. Briefly, in December, news broke that Eric Swalwell, a Democrat congressman from California, had been in a relationship with a woman named Fang Fang, who was almost certainly a Chinese spy. It wasn’t just any relationship. She wasn’t driving him around town

Amid the debate on firearms comes something else apparently contentious: the issue of protective gear. As reported by The Washington Free Beacon, New York stands a chance to become the first state in America to outlaw bulletproof vests. A bill sponsored by Democratic Assemblyman Jonathan G. Jacobson would make it illegal for anyone to sell body armor. In addition: Possession would be against the law. Therefore, per the legislation, any resident with a bulletproof vest would be required to give it to the government within 15 days of the law’s passing. To be clear, the Empire State already has a law against wearing a bulletproof vest in the commission of a crime.

Trump made a colossal tactical blunder by telling his supporters to fight vote fraud in the streets. That led to last week’s excesses, and the biggest crackdown on conservatives in American history. David Horowitz likes to say, inside every progressive is a totalitarian screaming to get out. Is he ever right! The suspension of President Trump’s Twitter account (denounced by Germany’s Angela Merkel and top French officials as a violation of basic rights) is an affront to democracy: Whatever Trump did or didn’t do, he is the elected president of the United States, convicted in no court of law, and the people have the right to hear from him.

Governor Greg Abbott requested statewide designation for major disaster relief from President Biden. Biden denied the statewide designation and only approved some counties in Texas, not all of them. Abbott asked for a declaration that covered the entire state because the winter storm knocked out power and heat throughout the state, as well as leaving millions of Texans without water. Texas has 254 counties. Biden approved only 77 counties for disaster relief. The governor calls it an important first step but it falls far short of what Texas officials requested.
