Tiger Woods was hospitalised with “multiple leg injuries” after being involved in a serious car crash in California.
Fire fighters had to free the golf superstar from his Genesis GV80 SUV using a “jaws of life” tool shortly after 7am on Tuesday in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles.
Authorities say that his car, which was the only vehicle involved in the crash, rolled over and sustained “major damage” in the incident near Rolling Hills Estates at 7.12AM. “On 23 February 2021, at approximately 7:12 AM, LASD responded to a single vehicle roll-over traffic collision on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes,” the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department

You don't want to floor it in the "rolling hills."

Hawthorne Boulevard in that area is not curvy but it is very steep. There is even a truck runaway area not much further down.
He just played in the Genesis golf tournament and was driing a loaner Geneisis SUV.

Tiger didn't play in the Genesis Tourney cause of recent back surgery. One wonders if surgery and pain pills played a part. What fans really want to know is if these injuries will keep him out of the Masters. Hope he heals quickly and hope it wasn't driver error or misjudgment. I'll give Tiger this, he never took a knee.

Apparently retracting the "jaws of life" part hasn't stopped it from propagating. Not sure Y! even has somebody to check stories for updates and corrections before they publish them

I hope Tiger recovers quickly and completely, but think I'd bet the under on the Masters.

Great golfer - - slimeball human being.
I wouldn't shed any tears - - if he never swung a club again.

Some dippy reporter said he'd been speeding. Maybe he was and maybe he wasn't but that vehicle is a mess.

OK, one car accident.....drunk or drugged or fell asleep? I am always unimpressed when someone manages to crash a car all by themselves.
And yes, I have NEVER had a car accident in my 54 years of driving many millions of miles, other than being hit when stopped at stop signs and stop lights four different times since 1977, at least a decade apart, and every time, I was stopped for more than 10 seconds when hit by some fool.
Driving a Kia? Gee whiz, he could afford a Mercedes or something. My perception is that Kia's are cheapos, not even on my screen to own. I wonder if he'd have fared better in something else? No idea how their rollover crash rating is compared to others, though. Maybe they are fine for safety.

He needs to learn how to drive a stick! He'd be a heck of a lot safer....and keep that left foot off the brake!!

#8 - I don't think it was his car...a loaner while he was out there, which could be the reason he wrecked. When driving a different vehicle than your own (especially in today's world w/ all the distracting tech and bells and whistles), he could've easily misjudged or made a mistake. I'll wait for the whole story to come out before passing judgment (with Tiger, the story could go either way).

Imagine how much better his life would have ben, had he not married that Swedish gold digger And imagine how much this hurts the Hyundai rollout of the Genesis upscale car.

#8, a Genesis is not a Kia. They were originally made by Hyundai, but are now their own company, and they are luxury cars (hence the departure ftom the Hyundai brand).

#8: look closely, the SUV was a Hyundai Genesis. Prices begin at $50,000. He had been in a Genesis-sponsored tournament. The vehicle was probably on loan to him.

I have never seen anyone get into more scrapes that scream, “He was drinking!” when he is reported not to have been than Tiger Woods. A beneficiary of a friendly press, money changing hands or the victim of bad luck, who knows. But his life has gotten terribly messy and he could probably use some prayers and good wishes.

A lot of speculation here about an accident that you know nothing about.

Looks like he was driving an SUV that he may not have much experience driving. If his leg is severely injured it may signal the end of his professional golfing career. I hope not.

Someone said he left the set very angry and speeding. The Jaws of Life wasn't used.
Can't kick a man when he is down. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.
