Tiger Woods has been hospitalized for "multiple leg injuries" after being involved in a serious car accident on Tuesday morning near Ranchos Palos Verdes, California. Woods had to be removed from his vehicle with the jaws of life as it sustained "major damage" following a single-vehicle rollover traffic collision, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Woods, the only occupant of the vehicle, was transported to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center by ambulance to be treated for "moderate to critical" injuries suffered in the crash, the Los Angeles County Fire Department told CNN. The crash, which occured shortly after 7 a.m. PT, is under investigation by the LASD.

Woods seems to be experiencing one setback after another in his life. Marriage problems, serious back problems and repeated back surgeries, and now this. Having a wreck like this one is the last thing a person having been through multiple back surgeries should have.

I think Tiger may need to turn in the keys, his multiple back issues make him an unfortunate candidate for persistent narcotic relief..

Partially fake news. Now being reported that the jaws of life were NOT used. Injuries appear to be non-life threatening, but mangled legs are not a good thing for a pro-golfer.

Authorities now say, no jaws of life. Saw diagram: Car traveled 476 feet on diagonal path across median, across opposing lanes, to road side. Car rolled end over end, apparently. I hope he recovers.

A local paper says the crash occurred on Hawthorne Blvd. That is a very dangerous spot. Steep hill, just coming out of a curve, near a signal, and just before the beginning of a gravel escape lane for cars/trucks that lose control. Many accidents in that area over the years.

I hope he can recover. Hogan did but he was 37 at the time of the bus accident and Tiger is 46 with a history of back surgeries. I can't count him out after he came back and won the Masters but this is really not good.

He was traveling too fast and lost control on a curvy road. Police state that alcohol or drugs were not involved, but a case of speeding. He has a compound facture of the femur and a broken ankle and is under going surgery. With all of his back surgeries, now with a broken leg and ankle, I think his competitive golf career is pretty much over. In addition, he was recovering from a fifth back surgery.

Based on the live video feed of the recovery of the SUV that Bentley's safety cage functioned properly.

It is all live on local TV in the LA area. Big deal. No jaws of life required. Firefighter broke out windshield with hand tool and he was removed via that opening. The car cut across Hawthorne at Blackhorse, hitting a Rancho Palos Verde sign in the median and went across more lanes to turn over and slide up a hill. The front end of the car in very bad shape. Serious damage to legs and pelvin. Engine probably forced at least part way into passenger compartment. He’s lucky to be alive.

Re #12, it was a Genesis - but they do look a great deal like Bentleys. A neighbor has one. Beautiful car.

Someone at hs hotel saw him leave in a hurry, looking irritated, and then he sped off. The Genesis he was driving was a loaner said to have been provided to him by whoever was doing the promo at the Rolling Hills Country Club.

Recommend KTLA. Fox11 LA is awful. Includes “insider” chatter from a woman with a plummy faux Brit accent. Car now underway on a flatbed to wherever those cars go...

Tiger in a roll-over accident, and See BS News distorting the truth.
A double "deja vu"...
As for Woods, I hope he recovers. As for them, I doubt they ever will...

That part of Hawthorne Boulevard is not curvy, but it very downhill. Some say that even someone in neutral would end up going very fast. I’ve driven it and fully agree. The downhill speed must be controlled...

Once he gets back on his feet he needs to get some driving school time. Too many men imagine that having testosterone automatically makes you a skill driver.
