Two Democratic lawmakers sent letters Monday to a dozen cable, satellite and video streaming companies, including Amazon and Hulu, urging them to drop right-leaning news networks they claim pushed 'misinformation' in the 2020 election. Representatives Anna Eshoo and Jerry McNerny, both of whom represent California and sit on the Energy and Commerce Committee, claim it's the responsibility of these companies to address media outlets 'disseminating misinformation to millions' through their airwaves. In the letters, Eshoo and McNerny accuse the right-leaning outlets Fox News, One America News Network (OANN) and Newsmax of serving as 'misinformation rumor mills and conspiracy theory hotbeds

The inescapable irony is that it is Eshoo and McNerny who are 'disseminating disinformation to millions' via their promotion of the democrat propaganda as gospel. In addition, they have completely discarded due process, and 'innocent until proven guilty', and are resorting to mob rules to enforce their PC version of truth on everyone else.
They need to be kicked out of Congress for their gross violation of their oaths to uphold the freedoms of the US Constitution...beginning with the 1st amendment.
How has it come to the point where we will tolerate such liars and hypocrites?

Some constitutional scholar can decide whether this is would actually violate the ban on government censorship of speech or not. It does certainly violate the spirit of that ban.

80,000,000 conservatives could write those companies saying they were offended by something and absolutely nothing would be done.
But 2 Demon-Rats write them, and I'm sure they will drop those media sources immediately.
Anybody think we aren't truly living in a Communist dictatorship already?!?!?!?!?

Hey Eshoo and McNerny - how about the misinformation being put out by the NY Slimes, Washington Compost, CNN, MSDNC, ABC, NBC, and CBS? Shouldn't they all be dropped by the cable, satellite, and streaming companies?

the commies have never felt so emboldened and it's only been a month. things are not going to get any better for us. this Supreme Court is a disgrace with a 6-3 majority opening the door to vote fraud on a scale like we would never would have imagined years ago.

Nobody should be prevented from stating news and opinion because regulators will pick winners and losers. The answer to speech someone doesn't like is more free speech.

I'm starting to wonder if all this *new* leftist crap about Fox is really just a false flag operation to convince conservatives that Fox is still conservative, so that Faux can propagandize 'the right'.... The leftists condemning it knowing full well that Fox is really on the leftists side,;they just pretend to hate it, to convince us to like it again.
(If that makes any sense.. I couldn't think of a better way to write it.)

#18, spot on. I believe in about a year or so, Democrats won't even mention the Constitution. These stupid individuals' requests reek of the kind of propaganda spewed by the media controlled by the Third Reich. Very dark days are ahead.

You have no right democrats whatsoever to decide what the market will bear. We are the ones who decide about Fox news, and they are currently in everybody's dog house right now. How about you worry about your buddies at CNN,MSNBC, and all the rest of the alphabet soup of networks. Talk about misinformation, all of you have it down to a science.

BigHamBone (#21).....
Stop giving them ideas!
(I thought the same thing, but I kept my trap shut for the above reason!)
In the Sherlock Holmes stories, Sherlock would sometimes say "The wheel of time turns, and the same spoke comes up again".
If we in the USA are reliving the Naitonal Socialsts rise in 1920's and 1930's Germany, then where are we?
In 1920's and early 1930's advanced Germany society, people said "It Can't Happen Here"....but it did.
In today's USA, people are saying "It Can't Happen Here".......but?.......
If the damage of the CHOP Zone nonsense compares to Kristallnacht .......
If the pre-planned false-flag squabble at the Capitol, and all the misrepresentation about it compares to the Reichstag fire.....
..... and by the way, ANTIFA ...IS the descendent of the violent Communists (even their flags and emblems are the same) who fought -and lost to- the violent National Socialists run by Adolph.....
-If the media lies and distortions are comparable to the National Socialists control of the German media....
-If the 'Gun Control' /forced buybacks/forced registration/confiscation as promoted by Robert Francis 'Beto' O'Rourke to be compared to the confiscation of German citizen's guns at the hands of Hitler's Naitonal Socialists....
...What can we expect next?
More importantly, how do we STOP it?
