Associating climate change, normally connected with roasting heat, with an unusual winter storm that has crippled swaths of Texas and brought freezing temperatures across the southern US can seem counterintuitive. But scientists say there is evidence that the rapid heating of the Arctic can help push frigid air from the north pole much further south, possibly to the US-Mexico border.(Snip) “The current conditions in Texas are historical, certainly generational,” said Judah Cohen, the director of seasonal forecasting at Atmospheric and Environmental Research. “But this can’t be hand-waved away as if it’s entirely natural. This is happening not in spite of climate change,
ROFLMAO. So predictable.
It’s way colder than it used to be! Must be getting hotter!

This why " global warming " has morphed in to "climate change " It covers everything.

Whenever a so called scientist uses ‘may’ ‘could’ or ‘possibly ‘ in a statement you know it’s for a political reason. When they use ‘ Will’ ‘shall’ I’ll pay attention but not till then.

What else could cause cold other than global warming? Don't you see? It's obvious? Polar bears don't float on ice floes without global warming. Texas doesn't get cold without global warming.
These guys don't get their grants without global warming.

This theory has been completely and thoroughly debunked in scientific peer reviewed papers - repeatedly.

FTA:
There is no consensus among scientists over the interaction between Arctic heat and cold weather further south – Francis calls the topic an “active area of research”. Global heating is causing warmer winters, and record cold temperatures are now being clearly outpaced by record hot temperatures, but the complex interplay of climatic conditions still requires further scrutiny,
So, we just don't know, it does not seem the science is very settled after all, since it needs further scrutiny.

IT ahs nothing to do with (warming" in the Arctic. No, completely not!!
It's caused by the fact that politicians in Texas mocked the New Green Deal. Ho do we know this? Not through the words of an out-of-control pipsqueak "climate scientist", but through the words of AOC, that omniscient politician genius.
She has a bachelors degree in economics. so she knows about stuff, you know)

This has happened many times throughout history. Supposedly there was no "man made global warming" back then. Just freak winter storms.
But, of course, I can't be sure until Al Bore chimes in!!! He invented the Internet after all, so he must know what he is talking about!!! Maybe Bill Nye - the science fraud, and Gretta "mentally ill" Thunberg can chime in too. /sarcasm off

BTW, Earthlings, just checked NASA’s page on the Milankovitch cycle. The obliquity (tilt) of the earth is now roughly in between the max of 24 degrees southerly and the minimum of 22 degrees northerly and slowly heading to 22 degrees. This means the northern hemisphere is shifting due north to the next period of glaciation. Yes it takes thousands of years, but we are on the move in a northerly direction. I would expect storms like this to increase in frequency maybe not in our lifetimes but eventually leading to much cooler climate in the northern hemisphere.

Anyone who has read up on global climate changes know that any warming or cooling man can cause is a mere blip on the massive swings that occur naturally.
Earth regularly, throughout history. Through to before the dinosaurs, swings from so warm, their is no ice at either North or South pole. And swings so cold, you could stand on the Northern Glaciers and see the cliffs of the Southern Glaciers just across the equator.
Enough Bull!!

They're all total fools. I will always point to the FACT of the "Lost Squadron," which were aircraft being ferried to Europe during WWII (1942). The crews had to make emergency landings on the ice in Greenland and be picked up later by U.S.N. Submarine, leaving the aircraft there for 70 years. During that time the aircraft became buried under 310 FEET of snow! To me that is THE BEST "barometer" to prove global warming is a complete MYTH. These Federal Grant-Grubbing Professors and Carbon-Tax-Grubbing Politicians claim there is no snow/ice accumulation in the Arctic. Well, those aircraft prove otherwise.

More gorebaloney from the Church of Climate Change, where an allegedly warming arctic creates a colder North America, but meanwhile warming oceans create heat over the land masses. So why did Al predict the end rather than the beginning of snow? Such questions are impolite and do not require an intelligent response. Call dogma "settled science" and it shuts off debate.

Really tired of "Climate Change: news stories every time there is a record hot or record cold period. That's weather, not climate. Climate changes are measured over many decades or centuries. Unfortunately, imperfect temperature measurement systems and biased "corrections" have spoiled temperature measurements over the last two, three, or four decades, so no one can really speak about "Climate Change" right now. Why do you think they changed the terminology from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change?"

MMGW is pure BS.
The Sun defines our climate. And the dirth of sunspots means that things are going to trend colder for a while, probably a good, long while.

Stop mocking these "climate scientists"!
Even a babbling idiot knows that heat causes cold. It's just a matter of taking the inverse tangent of the multivariate hypercoidal interface between the outward flux and the inward rotation of the peripheral torque.
It's so simple! Get it?

Are they really to be trusted as scientists capable of directing political policies when they admit whatever, ''may '' be true? Whatever happened to the scientific method which proved itself first? It seems the politicised environmental movement has pushed their ideas upon us which now have proved failures, such as frozen windmills, at taxpayers' expence, instead of staying with innovations which actually work & help people. Hopefully this dangerous storm and the energy failures will encourage the completion of the Keystone pipeline!

All pacific salmon genetically trace to the colorado and sacremento rivers (montains in the clouds, in search of the wild salmon) because once upon a time rivers north of there were covered with ice. When the ice receded the salmon redistributed up the coast.

Or something. Maybe those folks in Fairbanks are stealing all the heat in Texas and that makes it so cold....or maybe they are just full of crap and lying.
