Mark Cuban Insists The Dallas Mavericks
Won't Play National Anthem Anymore

Original Article

Posted By: OhioNick, 2/10/2021 3:25:35 AM

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Tuesday that his franchise would no longer play the national anthem prior to his team's NBA home games. It's a long-standing tradition to play the anthem before home games in all major professional sports, and even all the way down to high school athletics. Cuban said that will come to an end with the Mavericks. The national anthem hasn't been played at any Mavericks games so far at the American Airlines Center this season—preseason or regular-season games. Cuban told ESPN that he consulted with NBA commissioner Adam Silver before letting the rest of the world know about his decision, ESPN reported.

It kinda reminds me of when they took prayer out of public schools. When that happened, we saw the public education system take a nosedive to the cesspool of garbage that we have today. The NBA is already in trouble; Cuban is only self-sabotaging. Good riddance.

Then please do not call it the National Basketball Association or for that matter, any sports entity that wants to omit the Pledge of Allegiance should take "National" out of their title. Sure, you want the audience and profits from the NATION but without the pledge. Mark Cuban, go pound sand.

Stop watching professional sports. Don’t go to the games, watch the games or buy their merchandise. They cannot exist without your support. I find it very satisfying when I can take my money elsewhere. It may be a small act of defiance but it is a very satisfying one.

The days of market driven ad revenue are long gone. We can call for boycotts, don’t attend games or go to movies, etc., but the NFL and NBA are still active and well paid Hollywood A listers still have the microphone and spout crap. I think the elite have more than enough money to make up for losses in ad revenue, at least for the foreseeable future. Years ago Rush told us about the NYT fudging subscription rates to their advertisers and maybe some pulled their ads and the paper laid off some staff. But that fish wrap is still chugging along with its left wing propaganda. If Cuban really suffers financially from this move I’d be surprised.

This was the lowest rated Super Bowl since 2007 with about 91 million, down from the all time high of about 115 million for the game between the Pats and the Seahawks back only 6 years ago . This was one of the few Super Bowls with below 100 million viewers in recent times. With absolutely nothing to do and no where to go, millions chose to do something else rather than watch! How times have changed. Mark Cuban doesn't get it. His "viewers & fans" will be down to just the few like minded blame-America First crowd members and the hate whitey people. How anyone can watch a sports game now where the players hate your guts I'll just never understand.

So, everyone who takes offense at Cuban's rejection of our national anthem an easily express their objections by simply crashing their ratings. If the Mavs are in a game, don't watch or record it. If they come to play the team in your town, don't go. Don't buy their merch, don't watch interviews, and reject any show with Cuban on it. He doesn't have to play the anthem, and we don't have to support his businesses. But you know what? He won't even notice, because he has more money than he could need in ten lifetimes. Was the Johnson & Johnson vaccine developed from aborted fetal cell lines? It is a question many of you have asked the VERIFY team after the Catholic church issued a statement warning Catholics that the shot is “morally compromised”. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Committee on Pro-life Activities posted a statement online and social media. It said, in part, “The Johnson & Johnson vaccine … was tested and is produced with abortion-derived cell lines raising … moral concerns. Therefore, if one has the ability to choose a vaccine, Pfizer or Moderna’s vaccines should be chosen over Johnson & Johnson.”

President Biden on Sunday signed a sweeping executive order instructing federal agencies to advance Democrat Party objectives for U.S. elections, using the agencies to provide information about voter registration and vote-by-mail applications, including for federal prisoners. The Biden administration asserted the federal government plays a primary role in providing education about voter registration and combating “misinformation.” His administration is devoted to promoting and defending “the right to vote for all Americans who are legally entitled to participate in elections,” he states in the order. One of the main objectives listed in the executive action is providing prisoners with educational materials related to voting and facilitating voter registration for eligible prisoners...

Old Communist genocide denier dogs can't be expected to learn new tricks. Here, courtesy of the Under Fire account is Noam Chomsky discussing "Black Lives Matter, Universalism, and Hopes for the Left" at the Einstein Forum. After mumbling his way through a condemnation of "wage slavery", Chomsky bizarrely claims that capitalism is worse than Stalin. "People have to rent themselves to a tyranny so that most of their waking lives, they're under totalitarian control of a kind that Stalin couldn't dream of. Like, Stalin couldn't say here's where you can go to the bathroom. Or here's where you can talk to a friend," Chomsky argues.

Journalist Glenn Greenwald has criticized MSNBC host Joy Reid for what he calls 'conspiratorial derangement' after she claimed a senator was a Russian agent. The journalist, part of a team that won a Pulitzer for reports about government surveillance programs based on leaks by Edward Snowden, slammed Reid on Friday for stating that Sen. Prosecutors in Kentucky have moved to permanently drop charges against Breonna Taylor's boyfriend in connection with the bungled police raid that killed her. The Commonwealth's Attorney for Jefferson County filed a motion this week seeking to dismiss with prejudice the criminal charges against Kenneth Walker. A case dismissed with prejudice cannot be brought back before a court. Walker had been charged with attempted murder of a police officer and assault for shooting at officers as they opened fire on the couple while serving a narcotics search warrant at Taylor's home on March 13, 2020.

Supporters of former President Donald Trump marched down Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Friday as they carried enormous banners that read 'Trump 2024'. The event was billed as a 'Trump Save America Flag Unfurling' and featured all sort of Trump signage including one banner that depicted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as a demon. Towards the end of the event, the Trump marchers clashed with some angry New Yorkers and which the Right Side Broadcasting Network claimed was a group of 'Antifa' and Black Lives Matter activists, leading to the arrest of six people.

A Cincinnati police sergeant is suing the city, alleging discrimination against a white officer seeking a promotion. In response, the federal government may reopen a consent decree that has informed the department's hiring policy for roughly 40 years. But Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley is fighting the potential change to that hiring policy, saying that, without the decree, Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac may have never been hired in the first place. Tom Burns, an attorney representing Erik Kohler, says his client was initially passed over for a promotion to sergeant in July because of his race.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV) appears to have started to shift his views on the filibuster with remarks that he made on two news shows on Sunday morning. The shift from Manchin comes after he has repeatedly stated that he would not vote to end the filibuster, despite pressure from the far-Left. During the interviews on Sunday, Manchin repeatedly claimed that he was not open to ending the filibuster because he did not want to strip the minority party of their power in the Senate, but signaled that he was open to changing it.Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Manchin if he would consider “reforming the filibuster” if “Republicans

If you had any doubts that Meghan Markle is a manipulative piece of work, her bombshell Oprah interview Sunday night dumping on the British monarchy would set you straight. Prince Harry’s American wife accused his family of hateful racism against her baby, claimed they refused to protect her and drove her to the point of suicide. She made the incendiary and implausible charge that when she was pregnant with Archie, the royal family decreed that her unborn son would be denied the title of “prince” because her mixed race meant he might have dark skin.

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.

Appearing on Yahoo! Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details
