When Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., spoke against the constitutionality of the Democrats’ impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump, he reminded his colleagues that Democrat elected officials had recently told their followers to attack Republicans. If Trump was to be impeached for asking followers to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard by members of Congress on Jan. 6, what to do with Democrats’ more incendiary rhetoric and actions, he wondered.(Snip)“I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions,” Schumer threatened
At this point, Senator Paul is the only one telling them like it is.

I do love me some Rand Paul. As #2 says, he's about the only Republican in the Senate with any brains and certainly the only one with a spine.

So what say the democrats? They do as they please it's their government and they own Washington (in their minds).
We know this kangaroo court about to happen is a sham. If I were Trump I wouldn't go to Washington just send his attorneys.
Trump shouldn't subject himself to this or give them a chance to lay a hand on him it they get whipped into a frenzy to arrest him as a political prisoner. There is much danger and unknowns at this point this is not a time to give them the opportunity to advance anything. Rand Paul is correct but his truthfulness fell on deaf ears in both parties. I don't identify with any party at this point.

Violent rioting and angry behavior are perfectly acceptable on the left, even looting, burning and murder. If somebody outside that circle asks supporters to march " peacefully and patriotically" he is an "insurrectionist" his followers are "domestic terrorists" and they steal his presideny. That smacks of insanity to me.

Maybe Trump will bring this up as a part of his defense. He can play a montage of Democrats calling for insurrection against him starting the day of his inauguration. He can include Maxine Waters, Schumer, Schiff, AOC, The entire Squad, the possibilities are endless. His attorney should then ask that in the name of Equity and Equality, that these people receive the same treatment as Donald Trump. Leaky Leahy's head would spin in objection!

Schumer is the dumbest man in the Senate, while his soulmate, Jerry Nadler fills the position in the House. These poster boys for Term Limits ruin the nation with their outlandish radical policy positions and even more hatefulness against their "enemy" the conservatives.
Schumer, and company ruined the sanctity of the Senate confirmation hearing for Kavanaugh with those insane pink-hat morons marching through the halls (and allowed to do so!) screaming while the hearing was going on. Disgusting theatrics our Founders would be appalled by.
Oh, the Dems better hope they never see the reciprocal "hatred" on them from conservatives. It's not going to be pretty.
