Ohio Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur fears her party is losing touch with the working class.
In recent interviews with The Hill newspaper, Kaptur recalled one Democratic colleague's advice to the constituents in her Rust Belt district.
'Well, Congresswoman Kaptur, the answer is: Leave,' Kaptur says she was told, declining the identify the member. 'They just can't understand,' Kaptur continued. 'They can't understand a family that sticks together because that's what they have. Their loved ones are what they have, their little town, their home, as humble as it is - that's what they have .'

They never HAD the working and the middle class's welfare and future at heart. Only interest was to preserve and increase their own power. In four years PDT has smoked them out. On the other hand they have become so arrogant that they don't bother to hide it anymore.

Every time they open their mouths, they reveal their utter contempt for everyone outside of their political circle.

The Demon-Rats see themselves as the ruling politburo.
And the working class people are the peasants that are there to serve them.
As long as you realize that absolute truth, it all makes sense!!!

The first problem is, "Class". Politicians and socialist of all orders want to put everyone is some type of "class". We are all Americans. Period. The class issue is pure Marxism.

Yet she is still a Democrat. I guess it is for the money and not for the citizens of Ohio.

She should have told the Democrat leadership that 80% of her constituents are LGBTQXYZ. They would bend over backwards to help.

Please leave! She has been warming a chair in Washington for 37 years and I have never heard her name until today. That shows you just how useful she is except for supplying 1 more democrat vote every time it is needed. She just now figured out that the urban areas control a state even though the state is rural? Anybody who learns that quickly should be teaching Quantum Mechanics at Ohio State.
Yo, Marcy, it's not that they don't understand the working class, it's that they don't give a damn about them except when it's time for votes or tax revenues.
A small group of conservatives from southern Ohio once traveled up to Columbus to attempt to monitor a state election. They were attacked by a group of union firemen armed with axe handles. That's how that works.

Leaving probably is the most workable solution. When the Rust Belt was cratering in the 1980s, I know Texas welcomed many many transplants from Pennsylvania and Michigan. A LEO at the time, I personally witnessed many newcomers to Texas and new officers in my Police department quickly embrace their new homes and become Texans, regardless of their place of birth. Transplants made up the original hero's of the Texas revolution, as every native Texan knows and honors. More than a few had Spanish surnames and wound up with counties named after them. As far was I can tell, we still have room for many more productive citizens and sometimes have gotten lucky with a portion of our illegal population, although the flood under Obama altered that significantly. Conservatives from other states will find a welcoming home in Texas, except for some of the transplanted progressives, who ruin every place where their disease is allowed to spread.

Why would you need to be in touch when you control the vote counting? All means of communication? Can import millions of new voters? Pack the supreme court? Bring in new controlled senators?
Does she know what the game is?

Obama/Biden was terrible for the working class. Trump was their champion, creating a great economy and many jobs. Of course the democrats hate Trump for it, insuring democrats will never do what Trump did to provide jobs, which is what most families want.

Rep.Kaptur should realize the Democrat party is does not care about the working man any longer, and she should switch parties to ensure her district is best represented.
There is a Dec 2015 article I read years ago in Bloomberg, and it was about the Democrats and the Ascendant party. Those were upper-income, college educated (does not imply you are smart or smarter), and a host of other groups making up the new Democrat party agenda. And, it no longer included union members (except public employee union folks) and didn't include the working-class, or white males.

Part of the problem, Ms. Kaptur, is not naming the out of touch Dem colleague who told you to leave. Why don’t you name him/her?

Yuh think? The only "working class" they ever claimed to support was union members. They abandoned them a long time ago in favor of the
snowflake Socialists on the left. Reminder, many people voted against Pres. Trump because they didn't "like" him. They didn't know diddly squat about Joe Biden. They couldn't even tell you what state he was from.

The govt and libnuts want to see the destruction of family units - make them dependent on Govt for everything.
Black families have collapsed because of govt policies and welfare.
It takes a govt bureaucracy to raise a family

I didn't know Marcy Kaptur was still in office. She was part of a populist working class group in the Dem Party that included people like Rod Blagolevich (sp?) and was rising around 2000. She must feel obsolete as heck. Marcy, your party left you for the alphabet wokesters, Big Tech, and Big Media. They don't care about you or your Rust Belt constituents. But neither does the GOPe. Trump did--ain't that a kick in the head?

Marcy, they never lost touch...they do NOT care about "the little people"...they have nothing but CONTEMPT for the general American population. They just lie to us to try to control us. Now, they cheat in elections to amass more power and control and to keep it. You don't know your own party, lady. Be careful. You will be next on the chopping block.

that's so true because President Donald J. Trump has the "working class" with him and he did it by showing sincerity and truthfulness which are two characteristics that the "working class" value in people
