EL PASO, Texas -- Former El Paso Democratic congressman Beto O'Rourke said in a radio interview that he is contemplating a run for governor of Texas next year against Republican incumbent Greg Abbott. Abbott will be seeking his third term in office and O'Rourke told ABC-7's media partners at KLAQ radio that he's considering a bid to oust the governor. "It's something I'm going to think about," O'Rourke said. "This state has suffered perhaps more than any other in the midst of this pandemic." O'Rourke cited the roughly 1,600 virus deaths in the Sun City to date and blamed Abbott for

Beto is a joke, but considering the jokes we now have as President and Vice-president, it would be foolish not to take him seriously. We are living in a Lewis Carroll Wonderland that is definitely not wonderful. A Governor Beto would be a disaster.

When a Democrat says 'considering a run' it means putting together a vote fraud scheme."Most extensive vote fraud organization..." to quote Dementiia Joe.

Is Kinky Freidmann still around. He ran for Governor years back. I had one of his stickers that said ...
Kinky for Governor Why the Hell NOT
For those unfamiliar He's a gay, Jewish, Country (sort of) musician and comedian and FUNNY.
Probably couldn't advertise these days tough. Unfortunate band name.
It's Kinky and the Texas Jew Boys. Roberto O'Rourquez wouldn't stand a chance.

Curiously, no real stats about vaccinations, doses received, timing. Just the allegation.
Easy to make those if you don't back them up with data.

Abbott hasn't exactly covered himself in glory throughout this "pandemic". It must be tradition for Texas governors to talk tough and shrink into the background. He has his second term...no need to antagonize anyone. And where has Allen West gone? He seems to have disappeared, too. Meanwhile, the number of small businesses and particularly restaurants failing continues to grow. They ought to put those numbers up next to the number of COVIDS "victims" on the nightly news.

I went to El Paso High with Bobby.
First, he was "Bobby." This "Beto" thing is a complete recent fiction. He fancied himself the next Bobby Kennedy.
Second, he was borderline date rapist. The guy you didn't trust around a girl because he'd drug them.
Third, his parents were deeply in bed with the Juarez drug cartels. Daddy was the victim of a hit-and-run on his bike after talking with the feds. (Daddy was the senior El Paso county official and helped arrange smugglers across the border. Also busted with drugs himself.)
Mommy owned Charlotte's Furniture Store. She was busted because she was using the import business to launder money for the cartel. (Import/Export of furniture -- revolving cash purchases of less than $10K.)
In short, garbage people.

I'd like to hear from someone living in Texas, but from what I have heard, without paying particularly close attention because I don't live there, I had the impression that Texas was one of the success stories of this damned ChiCom plus Fauci-created nightmare.

If Beto wants to run for governor somewhere where they really had "failed virus efforts," he should challenge Cuomo the Grandma Killer in New York. Beto's assertions would at least be accurate there.

#23 - I've been a Texas resident for about a year now. Been involved in local politics, too, both campaigning and poll watching. I am acquainted with most of the local GOP pols. The Texas GOP has a quandry...it is largely dependent on rural areas, losing urban areas altogether, and losing the suburbs quickly.
Much of the party doesn't understand that the demographics are changing and they don't know how to respond or deal with the "carpetbaggers", especially well-heeled immigrants, particularly from Asia. (As I type, my Persian-American neighbor has ethnic music playing on the patio.) The Alamo means nothing in particular to them. Their ideas of freedom and government are different. They're not enamored with six-shooters. As one prominent businessman has said, “Republicans are buying straw hats in the winter.”
There is also a tsunami of foreign money to support particularly Indian candidates. (Nationally, these interests support a few Republicans, too. They're after "patriotic" visibility and friendly disposition toward India and the RSS, no interest in American domestic affairs.) But, around here, that means Democrats. The donations and spending differential in the most recent congressional race should give an indication.
In my formerly "most red county" whites make up 40 percent of the population. The Republican base here is white folks on Social Security, and there is little effort to expand beyond that. Lots of good ol' boy dealings. There's no energy. The most egregious behavior by local Dems goes unanswered. The formal party is deer-in-the-headlights stymied.
That's the report from my part of Texas, in the Houston suburbs. Others elsewhere may have a different view.

But I thought Beto was going to get his dream job in Lyin' Joe Biden's reign of incompetency -- Gestapo agent in charge of rounding up guns from the peasants. It's so much easier to get them on those cattle cars to the re-education camps if they aren't armed after all!!!
Beto the faux Mexican will never be elected to a major office in the state of Texas. His internal polling will quickly show that, and he will drop the insanity that is driving him. Maybe then he will do the great state of Texas a huge favor and move to some lie-beral mecca state and run for office there. They will love him!!!

Beto said if a demented crazy man can do why not take out Texas in one try. It happened in 2020 so give it a try. Texas didn't see this coming clear the tables so Beto can stand on them.
