Several unions that eagerly endorsed President Joe Biden during the 2020 presidential election are now learning the hard way what it means to support Democrat policies.
During his first day in office, the newly-inaugurated president revoked the construction permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline, thus destroying thousands of jobs.
And not just any jobs — but union jobs.
TC Energy Corp., the Canadian company that shares ownership of the pipeline with the Alberta government, had estimated that 10,000 jobs — in addition to the 1,000 already established — would be created in 2021 alone thanks to the construction of the pipeline.

Why are they surprised? Biden promised to do this during the campaign. Are the unions still harboring the illusion that the Democrats care about them? Fools.

If memory serves, The President held rallies in these heavily union states. Rallies, attended by ten of thousands of voters.
The President talked about Xiden cutting jobs, you know their buddies heard him say it, and they STILL voted for the Dim.
Here’s the deal, boys and girls: today’s Democrat party is N O T the Democrat party of your parents and grandparents. It is now Communism.

They should have known. The dems are in the pocket of the greenies and they will cut jobs ruthlessly until they achieve their goal of a carbon neutral world. Never mind the suffering that ensues.

I have zero sympathy for these folks. This is what happens when you put imagined feelings and faux outrage above facts and critical thinking.
I don't wish ill on anybody but sometimes you need to learn hard lessons.
Buyers remorse for voting in Biden is happening a lot faster than I predicted, I thought he'd have at least a week before the you-know-what fit the fan.

This article assumes that biden received more votes in the swing states than Trump did--he didn't, but going beyond that, what did the union people expect? biden said he was going to stop construction of the pipeline, just like he is going to create 3 more states and expand the supreme court.

The leadership of these Unions do the endorsements.
The rank and file need to take back their Unions from these political butt kissers.

The same disconnect that DC has with everybody else is the same disconnect that the sultans of the AFL-CIO and Teamsters share with their own rank and file.
You'd think that they would have learned long ago that a non-working cardholder means no dues coming into the coffers to pay for the annual winter tanning conference in Florida.
Trump was good for jobs creation--even if obongo claimed that the jobs weren't coming back (and they did).

The writer has put together a classic that's what you get article. They thought xiden would help them get better benefits, and he'd fight for their jobs. Since when has that ever been the case with the left? Never. They gushed about his 80 million votes, as if it were true. They amazingly claimed the underwhelming duo were pro-labor, pro-union, and freakin' pro-family. Did they even know who they were voting for? They chose him over proven winning, and they thought they'd get a seat at the table. Well, it looks like that table might be at the unemployment office. You said nothing because you thought they were coming for US. Your dear leader stuck it to you on the FIRST day, the FIRST day! So, eat it!

The coal miners unions learned after Illary said she would destroy their industry and West Virginia turned solidly red. The police unions learned after the demonrat “defund the police” movement got started last year and they endorsed PDT.
I have no sympathy for these oil unions if they were too blind or biased or filled with hate to see who had their backs.

This article presumes the union members actually listened to their leadership.
Maybe some did, but the American worker knew President Trump was the American Worker's President. I'm not buying into the tripe that these workers were ignorantly following their leadership's orders. I suspect many of them voted for PDJT as opposed to Xiden, leading to the necessary voter fraud in order to steal the election, and I feel quite bad for them.
Can we stop assuming these hard working Americans are just lemmings? For those that voted for Xiden, they are getting what they deserve, but not all of them. I prefer to give the American workers more credit. It's the progressive idiot college kids and uber liberals that are responsible for this debacle, most of whom would never consider getting their hands dirty doing the hard work that these men and women do!

But they WILL NOT learn. Same goes for other Democratic blocs. Women, for example, supposedly big Biden supporters, just got a kick in the teeth by his executive order requiring girls sports to open up to non-girl competitors. Minorities that briefly enjoyed "historic" low unemployment can now look forward to millions of new competitors flooding across our borders.

Definitely a case of disconnect between the union leadership and the rank and file. The leaders have made their deals long ago with the Democratic Party, and can't seem to readjust to the fact that the constuencies of the Democratic Party are now Wall Street, Academica, Hollywood, and almost every strange minority and special interest group in the country - particularly the Enviros. The enviros are the worst - nothing short of going back to living in caves (no fire though) will make them happy.
I am optimistic that union members will either lead their leaders back to reality, or dump them. They are smarter than their leaders, and are unencumbered by told 'relationships' with Democratic Party bosses. The new Trump Republican Party is now the party of patriotic Americans, -- the party of working men and women and small business owners, and I hope that realization hits home before the country goes down the tubes.

As a person close to Michigan I was stunned to hear the UAW rank and file along with retirees talk about the evils of President Trump and how their union hall was working for Jo Bi Deng. All these jobs the President was pulling in to Michigan? And 70,000 (thereabouts) union card jobs are wiped out? They are blinded by their leftist fascist idealism. Enjoy!

Gee, you don't say??? Trump warned them. Those of us who read actual news that documented what Biden ACTUALLY said (instead of relying on the MSM's very carefully and heavily edited version of the "news") tried to tell them. But they bought into the lies of the media, and Joe's lying campaign ads, as well as his outright lies of denial during the debates, aided by the moderators, about what he'd actually said.

Unions are controlled by democrats... their leadership tells them how to vote... or they don't work... just like the teacher's union...when a young newly degreed teacher was given a difficult assignment in a tough school... she rewarded her students with home made chocolate chip cookies when they all worked together on assignments... she not only got the homework done...but... the students encouraged one another to do the work... she was so successful that the union trumped ... pardon the pun...up charges and she was dismissed...see how it works?

You have to take into consideration that 99% percent of the MSM is leftist, and any Conservative views were summarily blocked on the Internet. Factor into that the Union Leadership told the rank and file that the hike in the minimum wage would automatically mean an increase for them by a similar percentage. Now they are on the unemployment line, dazed and confused.

Don't forget that while the union leadership were a bunch of leftist shills, the bulk of union voters voted in large numbers for Trump. The union voters aren't stupid. It was voter fraud, fake ballots, and Dominion vote counting machines that cancelled out their votes and installed Joe Asterisk into the White House. Never forget that a massive act of criminality overturned what would have been a landslide victory for President Trump, not brain dead union voters.

What makes this even worse is that this was a rank political move. It had nothing to do with economics, the oil and gas business or anything based on science and/or logic. Hard working men and women are losing good paying jobs so Plugs can send a "climate change" message to the "globalists" and the enviroweenies.
It's pure political BS and a real shame. However, any of those workers losing their job that voted for this idiot (which I doubt many did) have no one but themselves to blame.
