Rep. Jamaal Bowman: Time to
'stop spreading the myth of
American exceptionalism'

Newly elected Rep. Jamaal Bowman said Monday that the U.S. Capitol riot provided Congress the opportunity to “stop spreading the myth of American exceptionalism” and seriously address systemic racism in the country. “This is a chance for all of us in Congress to sort of begin at a new baseline and stop spreading the myth of American exceptionalism and accept the fact that this is exactly who we are, and this is exactly who we’ve been throughout our country’s history,” Mr. Bowman, New York Democrat, told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes Monday evening. “Whenever there’s social progress, there’s White backlash, particularly from the people

Comments:

Congressman Jamaal brings a message of unity, Democrat Socialist style. WHITE people comprise a very small minority of the world population, and they are vanishing. What sort of hatred would fuel objection to the existence of a "White-dominant nation" when no one takes issue with there being African-dominant nations, Hispanic-dominant nations, Asian-dominant nations, and the rest? Does every person matter, or is that everyone but WHITE people?

Race-hatred is Democrats' lifeblood. The "MYTH" of American exceptionalism put a man on the MOON. But don't expect ANY sense from any NY Rep. because hammering whites comes naturally to such fools who NEED to place BLAME far from themselves. Look at the CRIME stats to see which segment of our population is really a detriment to society, and which segments point us towards the stars. Perpetual victims can be relied upon to put a drag America which the exceptional always need to overcome.

If it weren't for that American exceptionalism you nitwit, you would never have been in a position to be elected. His lies though go a long way to explain why Trump infuriated the Left by actually doing something for the economic situation of the minority community. Now when Biden's bunch refuses to do the same, the backlash should be pretty intense. You cannot give people a taste of success and then take it away from them without getting repercussions. I would say to all minorities who feel the same as this nitwit, you are free to leave and go back to Africa or elsewhere if you don't like it here. Nobody is forcing you to stay in the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.

Did he take the Oath of Office? If he did, he lied when he did. He's a fraud. The two new GA Senators will lie when they take the Oath, they despise our Constitution and the USA as founded. I'm tired of all these liars and America-haters, the entire House "squad" included, being elected to "serve" when they have NO intention of upholding and defending the Constitution. All we need do is listen to what they have been saying just these past two weeks, they unashamedly say they want to deny the First Amendment Rights and protections to their political opposition. It ought to be a test, like a pre-Oath to determine whether or not they CAN qualify as a Congressman, otherwise, what has been happening --i.e., electing what are essentially traitors-- will continue. All you have to do is read about the preludes to the fall of empires and regimes: they always bring into the center of power those who seek to destroy it for their own ends.

In a sadly perverse way this ignoramus politician is right about the death of American exceptionalism because they killed it. People completely misunderstood what made America exceptional. We were exceptional relative to the dismal past of human government because we as a nation accepted the enormous moral and cultural burden of making true self government feasible and sustainable. Our Founders knew from the Roman republic experience that self government falls apart when the people no longer respect the cultural norms of the rule of law and revert back to their violent human nature. The Founders brilliantly crafted the system of checks and balances that protected minority from majority factions for 231 years. It has taken several generations since the 1960's to fully erode the people's moral sense and this year the fraudulent election was the final straw. Half the country has no problem violating the election laws as long as their candidate wins. They should instead hang their heads in shame for what they have done. No really exceptional American that believed in the rule of law would ever accept this undermining of the one person one vote principle that served us so well up to this point. Rather than being exceptional we have now demonstrated were are just another oligarchy in a world of corrupt installed tyrants like "President" Putin and "President" Xi.

He’s not alone. Dr. Anthony Fauci acknowledged Thursday that life’s a lot less difficult with Donald Trump out of office, saying he’s finally able to do his job without feeling “uncomfortable.” Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease expert who now serves as President Biden’s chief coronavirus adviser, made the candid admission during his first appearance in the White House briefing room since Trump’s exit. “The idea that you can get up here and talk about what you know, what the evidence, what the science is, and know that’s it, let the science speak—it is somewhat of a liberating feeling,” Fauci told reporters.

It is sad, but perhaps inevitable that contemptuous, raw class hatred for Trump voters would be featured so prominently in the National Review almost immediately after the swearing-in of Joe Biden yesterday. National Review, after all, produced the infamous “Against Trump” issue in January 2016, assembling conservatives from many publications in an effort to derail the nomination of the man who became our 45th president. The chief complaints about Trump centered on style… and class. But graciousness in victory apparently is not an element of civility that appeals to Kevin Williamson, a talented wordsmith and star at what was once the flagship publication of the conservative movement.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell will ask Democrats to delay the start of Donald Trump's impeachment trial until early February to give the former president's legal team time to prepare a defense. McConnell revealed his plans on a phone call with Republican senators Thursday. 'Senate Republicans are strongly united behind the principle that the institution of the Senate, the office of the presidency, and former President Trump himself all deserve a full and fair process that respects his rights and the serious factual, legal, and constitutional questions at stake,' McConnell said in a statement.(Snip)McConnell and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer have been working

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill were momentarily left standing in the cold on Inauguration Day after the front doors of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue weren't opened for them – a breach of protocol caused by the firing of the chief usher of the White House hours earlier. With the world watching on, the 46th US President and his wife walked up the steps of their new home for the first time on Wednesday, as a small crowd of family members followed behind. [SNIP] They then embraced one another, before turning to venture on inside. But there was a problem: the doors didn’t open.
