On this year's anniversary of Martin Luther King Day, corporate America is stepping up its commitment to promoting and advancing diversity. Just last week, Apple unveiled a series of new racial equity and justice projects as part of a $100 million investment announced in June 2019 to help combat racial inequality. And Walmart is asking employees to honor King with a special fundraising campaign. Both initiatives come as OneTen, a coalition of 37 leading CEOs and organizations, launched last month as a new initiative aimed at upskilling, hiring and advancing a million Black Americans over the next 10 years into family-sustaining jobs with opportunities for advancement.

Everyone is judged by the content of their character except for WHITE people, who are relegated to the BAD pile according to the color of their skin.

Meanwhile. If your white, continue to do what you've always done. Do it yourself.

I find it ironic that we just celebrated Martin Luther King Day yesterday. One of his famous quotes: I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. I guess with today's thinking this will have to wait.

Woopsie! Are you saying there are not enough qualified black candidates **today** to cover AA goals, which would explain hiring disparities?
Wooopsie 2: Are you gonna train them to take over YOUR jobs? Why not?
Woopsie 3: President Donald J Trump already showed you how to attain the lowest black unemployment in history, and it didn't take him 10 years.

This has been going on for over 40 years. The difference is that 40 years ago you could hire a Black employee who understood that to advance they needed to fit into the corporate culture. Now these businesses will change their corporate culture so the new Black employees don't have to change. White employees will be expected to buy into any grievance and accept it because RACISM!

This will mean they will start paying taxes. This means they will have to get up every day and go to work. On the surface, this is a good idea. I've worked with people, blacks, who were hired just because they were black. This was back in the '60's in the south. None of them stayed. They didn't have to take test to get hired. One girl seriously didn't understand punching the button that was flashing on the phone. So, go ahead, train people. We'll see how this works out.

What a surprise! For decades, corporations and politicians insisted on an imported workforce, all the while knowing it was unnecessary.
Now it's clear that when they WANT to, corporations are perfectly capable of training AMERICANS to provide workforce they need. Think of all the decades African Americans were left with unmet needs because politicians and corporations chose to import workers.
At least this time, corporations are being specific and arranging to help some Blacks. People they didn't give a rat's behind about until they started supporting Donald Trump.
Unfortunately, Dems and their corporate masters still plan to allow masses of people to flood into the US from our Southern border, and take advantage of all of us. This is not what loyal Americans do to each other. This is the work of individuals who do not wish us well.

I recently saw an article where traits like working hard at your job and punctuality were described as White Cultural Racism. Good luck with your new employees if they adhere to this philosophy.

Time to check your investments and divest of these companies. Their productivity levels are headed into the toilet. They will hire people who are incapable of doing their jobs or unwilling to actually work and then they won’t be able to fire them.
I saw this in the federal government 40 years ago - black “secretaries” sitting at their desks all day watching soap operas and, if you asked one of them to type a letter, they would file a racial grievance against you.

What race has been given so much for so long and still cannot compete, for the most part, with everyone else? That peculiar institution will be the downfall of this country in was that Thomas Jefferson and other could never have imagined.

A new initiative aimed at upskilling, hiring and advancing a million Black Americans over the next 10 years into family-sustaining jobs with opportunities for advancement. Think about it. These are the delusional morons of the left. First you need an education and then you need to apply that education and learn a skill. The problem. Over 50% of black students in black communities never graduate high school. In Detroit its over 60%. In many of these cities middle school black students aren't literate in either English or math. Black students who get an education are getting jobs and good jobs. Regardless of race you need an education and a skill set.

We know the Fulton Cty. GA, Wayne Cty., MI, Philadelphia, PA, and Milwaukee, WI Boards of Election are doing their part.
I thought it was illegal to ask about race in the hiring process. Silly me.

When it comes to employee attitude a lot of Black folks are going to loose their jobs to illegal aliens. Biden is already taking the first steps to ensure that happens with his massive proposed amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens

To the extent that they hire on skin color rather than competence, they will harm their companies.....VERY GREATLY. The drag of carrying around incompetent employees, unable to be fired because of their skin color or sex, is debilitating.
More ways to make America no longer exceptional. If we intentionally abandon the meritocracy, we can be Britain or France, soon enough, and that is just sad.

Why? We've had racial preferences in this country for over 50 years, only we call it Affirmative Action. Haven't whites been discriminated against in employment enough?

I'm just glad all the CEOs are confident there won't be the biggest, baddest Depression the world has ever known, in the next 10 years. Pretty sure 'initiatives' like this will keep such a thing from happening. Don't mention the army of illegal parasites arriving next month.
