President Donald Trump plans one last snub to Joe Biden by leaving the White House mere hours before his successor's inauguration ceremony on Wednesday. Trump plans to fly to his Mar-a-Lago residence the morning before Biden takes the oath of office at noon, which is when Biden will become the nation's 46th president, Bloomberg News reported. The timing makes it unlikely Trump and first lady Melania Trump will host Joe and Jill Biden for coffee - a tradition by the outgoing first couple for their replacements on the morning of inauguration. The Bidens will be staying across the street from the White House at Blair House, the official guest residence.

Good. Fine. Jilly won’t miss the coffee gig. She’d just have to suffer in the presence of a truly beautiful, gracious woman.

Oh I absolutely, definitely would have coffee with the person who conspired to use the FBI to illegally spy on me, who set up (in his own words) the biggest election fraud operation in history, and who called me Goebbels. /sarc

Sorry for the second post, but it dawned on me: it’s also a tradition for the outgoing President to leave a note for the new one. I’m wondering — asking for a friend — what might PDJT write to Dr. Jill?

Great news! I was hoping he'd do that. As for the traditional note in the Resolute Desk, I'd finish it with "and the horse you rode in on." I doubt he'll do it, but it is nice to think about it. An empty desk drawer would speak volumes.

That is one more Super Power President Trump possesses. Wish he could have his super hero cape preserved for posterity. But, he will be well remembered with or without some token souvenir. Mine is now permanently in my heart. Fair winds and following seas, Mister President.

More difficult for the MSM to blame PDT for false-flag rioting by Antifa if he's not on the dais with the corrupt elites. Out of town is even better.

We just watched the original 1939 version (re-whatevered) on TCM. Now I keep thinking of Joe and Jill as the snarky former O’Hara foreman and his wife who showed up at Tara to take possession of what he’d always coveted.

Instead of coffee Joe and Jill will be having their morning dirty Grey Goose martini's, with two olives.

There is a notable historic precedent for the President not attending the inauguration of his successor:
After "enduring" 8 years as VP for George Washington, John Adams felt entitled to be next, as did
Al Gore in 2000.
In 1800 there were no VP candidates. The candidate with the most electoral votes
became President and the "runner up" became VP. Jefferson and Burr tied for Electoral Votes, and Adams came in number 3. The House of Representatives broke the tie, as the Constitution dictates.
John Adams was so miffed that he left town on a coach for his home in Massachusetts at midnight March 3, the night before Jefferson's inauguration.
There are, IMHO, a couple of very important differences between the 1800 and 2020 elections:
*Adams lost fair and square.
*Adams, despite his admirable role as a Founder, was not a very as president, mostly because of his pushing for and then radically misusing the Alien and Sedition acts.
President Trump will lose no respect from any supporter who has a clue about the 2020 election for declining to kiss the ring of this incoming president.

Pretty much what every president has done in my lifetime as I recall. Besides, Biden will have VP backstabber to console himself with.

Well, the good news is that President Trump will go back to flying in his own private airplane that is more luxurious than the government-owned one. Eighty million of us know that he was elected a second time.

The worst enemies that Trump has had in DC are the “deep state” bureaucrats and staffers employed throughout the White House who were recommended to Trump for hire by the career DC establishment Republican cabal. In that respect Trump has been unable to make an official telephone call or hold a private deliberative policy meeting in the White House without that supposedly restricted and sometimes classified information being leaked to the liberal media with the information many-times being edited with fake or misleading data to meet liberal media political propaganda objectives designed to sabotage the Trump political agenda. The reason that those bureaucrats and staffers were able to do that and were even in the White House in the first place, was that when Trump came to DC he was essentially a one man show who did not have a big loyal political machine behind him.
Now here we have an instance of someone in the White House disclosing to a foreign anti-Trump newspaper the schedule of Air Force One and making a ridiculous claim that Trump is going to use that USAF aircraft early on Inauguration Day so that the aircraft with him on board can use the radio call sign “Air Force One” before Biden is inaugurated at Noon.

Trump is to good to share anything with the enemy of our country. Joe Biden, aka lunch bucket Joe, and his family are nothing more than a criminal enterprise. Just like the Clintons and the Obamas they will all rob us blind.

When Eisenhower was Inaugurated, it was Eisenhower who skipped having coffee with Truman.
So it isn't the first time the coffee was skipped.

Trump wants to get as far away as possible from Washington DC and the swampy cesspool that it has become since November. This will take away a tiny bit of the media ammo should anything negative occur on inauguration day. Does anyone really believe that Joe & Jill Biden really want to have coffee with the Trumps? I bet Melania can't wait to get out of there too! Screw tradition. Donald Trump has been anything but traditional. Flying off into the sunset is the best thing he could do.

DC would be a good place for a ground zero event, after President Trump safely flew out of the immediate area. Nuking from orbit is the only way to be sure to clean that place up.
