The U.S Capitol Police rejected National Guard and FBI assistance in the days and hours leading up to a massive Capitol security breach carried out by protestors and rioters.
Days before the event, the Pentagon asked the U.S Capitol Police if it needed National Guard manpower, but the offer was declined. Additionally, as the mob descended upon the Capitol, Capitol Police rejected an offer of FBI support from Justice Department leaders, (Snip)
Despite plenty of warnings, Capitol Police still found themselves overwhelmed (Snip)
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Thursday that a “painstaking investigation” would commence into Capitol security protocols.
McConnell asked for and received the resignation of the Sergeant at Arms

I expect it will come out....that Nancy Pelosi was working to make sure the Capitol was not effectively protected.
Would ensure the optics of attacking the Capitol that the democrats wanted.
Senate Republican leadership in-the-know were probably okay with that too, or were too lazy to care, or didn't mind being
in the minority in perpetuity...

The orders came from Mayor Muriel Bowser. Riots were required in order to impeach Trump. There could be no riots if the Capitol was defended. So troops were held back. It was planned in advance. Rioters trained in Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis for months in advance.

If the storming of the Capitol was the result of President Trump's "inflammatory" rhetoric to cheer on the Republicans objecting to the steal why did the people breaking down the barriers and entering the building not wait for the end of the speech? Can anyone spell "Reichstag"?

And this is why I refuse to believe anything reported any more until time allows all the facts to be obtained and sorted out. Just last night there was an article posted from the National Pulse>/i> that reported the now-resigned Capitol Police Chief claims he requested National Guard support several days prior to the vote but that both Sergeants at Arms turned him down. He also claims the Guard turned down his direct request due to the optics of soldiers in a police line around the Capitol Building.
And no, lindsay, they could not have "blown the building up" and killed everyone inside. You're right about a wake-up call, although not in the way you think.

It was a setup. They WANTED this to happen. Even though only a few windows were broken, and nothing more beyond people just walking in without any real resistance - they needed their 'Reichstag fire' event.
They have had to create most of it out of nothing since there clearly was no riot, at worst a bit of trespassing, and a few antifa thug infiltrators who broke a few windows. They have to use their total control of the Enemedia to CREATE their "riot" out of almost zero raw material. I am beginning to think that the murder of Ashli Babbitt was an intentional, planned act to try to make things appear more violent than they were. The fact that all the violence was on the side of one unnamed federal officer should be a huge giveaway. Why are they hiding who the assassin was? Because he wasn't a regular Capitol police officer is my be, because he was a plant from the FBI or some other agency, there to murder a demonstrator in an effort to push things 'over the edge'.
Who is the shooter? What are they hiding?

A retired Law Enforcement administrator with extensive experience protecting federal sites was talking with me yesterday. Think about these things:
The events in question were in the city that is the SEAT of federal operations. Remember, the Secret Service was involved here, as Pence was on site. We should all know by now the capabilities of the FedGov re: intelligence-gathering from all media and social media; in addition to placing informants inside the groups involved. They HAD TO KNOW the security was inadequate, and would fail if challenged.
There is generally an Emergency Operations Center activated anytime an event of this size is planned, especially near or involving federal assets or elected officials. The EOC has real-time intelligence gathering, and “eyes” on the entire area involved. It would have ALL resources at-hand for immediate response to developments. To him, these things don’t add up.
Now, the Capital Police and the House/Senate personnel responsible have “resigned”. Did they get a nice severance package for falling on their swords and taking the blame for something more nefarious?
Finally, there were “ringers” thrown into the crowd mix to make sure it got violent; that’s obvious to me. Tragically, some apparently otherwise non-violent, law-abiding people on our side got sucked into the lawbreaking. That gave a nuclear bomb of negative images and material to the totalitarians in the DC cabal who wish to “cancel” us (or kill us?).
Folks, we who oppose the leftist/socialist/communist takeover of America have got to be smarter than this. We need to watch our actions and speech, and keep a cool head. Papaw said “Don’t go off half-cocked”. From a strategic standpoint, great damage was done to our cause by the actions at the Capital on Jan 6th imo.

stopping the runaway italics. Not my error.
If we could have a 5 minute grace period to edit our comments, PLEASE, we could fix these sort of typos.

It should be interesting the next time BLM has a big get-together on the Capitol steps. Too many police will raise charges of racism. Not enough police will raise charges of...racism.

Notice that the Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi, an angry and vindictive old woman if there ever was one, are rushing ahead to remove Trump from office “somehow” before all the law enforcement investigations are completed and it is determined who did what at the Capitol building that day, and who committed what crimes. Nancy Pelosi is ultimately responsible for the security of the US Capitol building. It is very suspicious that the Capitol Police were not reinforced in the face of a scheduled political protest numbering in the hundreds of thousands of people outside the Capitol building during very uncertain times and at the same time that the Congress was working contentiously on the final counting of the Electoral College votes? Law enforcement had to have intelligence beforehand that there could be trouble as the both the FBI and the Department of Defense offered the Capitol Police additional law enforcement assistance that was not accepted by the Powers at be inside the Capitol.
Notice that among the supposed impeachable charges that Pelosi has been throwing at Trump is that if left in office he might start a nuclear war before June 20th, that he might pardon all the idiots who forced their way inside the Capitol building and assaulted police officers and damaged and stole government property in their ill conceived crime that made Trump and MAGA look bad, and above all that if Trump is not impeached and removed from office immediately that he might run for re-election in 2024 and win! So it is obvious that if Pelosi were to get her way she would impeach Trump and remove him from office now for things that Trump might or might not do sometime in the future. Congress has never before used impeachment as a prior restraint to future actions that might take place sometime in the future.

This wasn't on the scapegoats Turtle fired. Since this didn't work to deflect attention from his and Pelosi's offices, he is now going to 'investigate', and we all know what that means.
