Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell plans to never speak to President Donald Trump again. The Washington Post reported this detail in a story describing how the president has alienated his allies in Washington with the way he handled Wednesday's riot on Capitol Hill. McConnell, the Senate's top Republican who will become minority leader once new Democratic Sens. Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock are sworn in, had been 'estranged' from Trump in recent weeks, The Post wrote.(Snip) Even before Wednesday's riot, McConnell was set to break with Trump - as he warned senators not to join a House GOP effort to challenge

That will save Trump a lot of money - Mitch won't come knocking asking for campaign contributions in 2022 or for any special elections.

I'll bet Trump is crushed. As long is Mitch is still on Obama's Kwanza card list, no harm, no foul.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't McConnell's father in law the owner of a large shipping company in China? And isn't this shipping company backed by the Chinese government? So when her father needs a new ship, China will build it for him? That being the case doesn't all of that compromise Mitch McConnell in any way when President Trump tries to level the playing field when dealing with China? Maybe he should resign from the Senate before they ask Pres.Trump to leave.

Oh noes! Traitor Mitch won't share his patriotic goodness and wisdom with Trump ever again!
When the GOP dissolves what is he going to be minority leader of, exactly? His retirement home?

hey Mitch, President Trump did nothing. This was all a set up. We know it. You won’t convince us otherwise, in fact, now that you are the minority leader, representing China, why do we care what you think. If somehow President Trump, would to be inaugurated, I guess that means Ol’ Mitch will just resign, or flee to China.

Everyone ... and I mean Everyone with any sense at all ... knows the ONLY reason that Elaine Chao had a cabinet position is because Mitch is her husband. It was a nasty trade off for Trump, but it got the country a start on a reformed Judiciary.

Who do you think they are going to listen to, you or him? The Republicans have no idea what they have unleashed this time! We are not going away and more importantly, WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

mcconnell is clearly an enemy of the Republic and must be replaced. this is the thanks our President gets from this phony after working to and endorsing him for re-election. Donald John Trump is not going away and anyone who thinks he is, will be greatly mistaken. the hypocrisy of some of these republicans is astounding and shameful.

Oh no Addison McConnell won’t speak to PDJT (spoken in my Chris Tucker from the movie Friday voice)ever, ever, ever! Listen Cecil Turtle you have been nothing but a weak, spineless, cowardly duplicitous SOB. You never had my President’s back back even though he helped get your sorry rump re-elected. He even put your bitter half in his cabinet. You’re a disgusting excuse for a swamp rat and you should retire because you’ve been in DC for far too long. When you do take your equally phony Chicom trophy wife with you.

Mitch you lying POS, why don't you ask your wife about the concentration camps in China why she did not open her mouth about that and quit her job then?
The secret trips that you and your wife regularly take to China should be more on a front page so that you can tell us who you met with over there, other than visiting 'your charity' you disgusting liar!
Let's hope that they throw you out before your term is ending because you are an old tottering idiot who does not know what time of the century it is! You have done nothing for the GOP other than suggest 3 spineless Rinos for the Supreme Court and you pushed them through. I have yet to see that they will vote on anything that will suggest they are for Republicans. I doubt that will ever happen.
Everything you touch has always turned out to be good news for the Dems. Strange, isn't it?!

I think that he won his state because Trump needed him in his position at the time. Now that he has shown his true side (although most of of already knew he was only supporting Trump to keep his position) and isn't needed, he will be facing a different environment back home.
